What's your automotive Christmas wish?
I think you need to find a Sonic or Cruze with a manual and turbo and learn on that. They are just about the easiest manuals to drive that I have ever driven.

Chevrolet News:Fate Of 'Chevy Runs Deep' To Be Decided In 2013
Wasn't a big fan of the tagline. I like "American Revolution" and "Heartbeat of America" better.

After Years of Insuffiency...
We've been very happy with both of the Ideapads in this house. Albert's Y510 is 4.5 years old and just starting to show signs of age (hinges are lose and can't be tightened up any more) and my 3 year old U350, which has been all over the world with me, will be making its 4th round of auto shows over the next few months. Nary a reliability issue with either.

Buick News: Rumorpile: Grand National, GNX, and T-Type Making A Comeback
ATS coupe is already in the cards for production. I don't think we'd see it any sooner than April in NY, but next November at LA is more likely.

No concepts... stick with stuff heading towards production.

Chevrolet News:Rumorpile: Is This The 2014 Corvette's Rear End?
I'm all for taking money from fools if there are enough of them, but you'd have to prove that case. I seriously doubt that you can, especially as applied to Corvette. If built, these would languish on lots, hurt the image, and reduce resale value. Just a really bad idea all around. The assertion that this is what the market wants is more than suspect. How can you know any of that without knowing what the performance of the V6 Turbo will even be?

No, it doesn't. Because like it or not, there are people out there who like complexity and do not see it as a vice.

Chevrolet News:Rumorpile: Is This The 2014 Corvette's Rear End?
Didn't the Corvette start off as a 6-cylinder? Aren't you the one always talking about more variety? Aren't you the one always talking about the high price of cars these days? Wouldn't a new lower cost Turbo-V6 base model Corvette be a way to bring in a younger set of buyers?

Not gonna happen.

Why not? People buy V6 GTRs and flat-6 Porsches all the time.

Buick Week: 2013 Buick Verano Turbo First Drive
The only thing he might miss is the ability to put the spurs into it at highway speeds. The Passat is a big comfy package. If they ever make a larger TDI engine for it, that would really address my only complaint. They could put the Audi 3.0 TDI in, but I suspect Audi wouldn't like that. So make a 2.8 TDI version to use in the Veedubs.
