  1. A Garfield Christmas Only good Christmas movie ever made.
  2. The Wrangler is my cup 'o tea, but having two cars with no room for more than 2 real people or stuff isn't practical. There are times when the extra space is necessary, and the wagon isn't really cut out for wining and dining.
  3. And this folks is the reason gas is going to be $3/gallon again in a year. Typical American short-sightedness, lets just burn it all now, its not like OPEC wants to cut production because global demand has dropped.
  4. Chrysler wants taxpayer dollars to strengthen their ties to Nissan? I doubt thats going to go over well.
  5. They had it, just didn't build it. Jerks.
  6. We're planning on taking a road trip to D.C. next summer, we can make a quick jaunt up to Jersey to let him bask in its glory. I'm not sure how a long road trip in such a tiny car will work.
  7. The Prius will be gone as soon as the Mini comes in, which is looking like late January at the earliest. The dealer she ordered through gave us a great trade-in number on the Prius, as long as they hold to it, I'll be happy.
  8. Our cafeteria is great, it has a big, glass wall facing the parking lot, a decent view, and the call center is right next door, so all the hot college girls who work there are constantly coming and going. Makes the day a little nicer.
  9. We dont have a sub-basement B, we do however have a warehouse. I've had to go in there a few times, and I'm pretty sure its worse than a sub-basement.
  10. Hey, Marlon Brando lookalikes need somewhere to meet.
  11. I'm just waiting to be given a can of bug spray and asked to move my desk to sub-basement-B.
  12. Until a couple weeks ago, I shared an extension with 3 other people. Yes, three people, three desks (one big cubicle), one phone. It was awful and why I've resorted to email and texting. Now each of us has our very own extension and our own voicemail. As a bonus, my extension is the one that used to be our communal one, so I still get calls for the other guys which has led to me trying to figure out how to transfer calls, then saying screw it and telling them to call back at the right extension.
  13. I understand the need for "right now" but I make it a point to not have my phone on me when I'm in the bathroom. Thats the only time while I'm at work that I can get away from my phone/email/co-workers.
  14. Test drove a 4-door Wrangler last year. I'll sum it up with one word-No. The Maxima is one hell of a ride, I'm just not sure I want to put that kind of coin into a car, same with a CTS wagon. One $30k+ car in the garage is enough for me.
  15. We've been in a worldwide economic slowdown for some time, this isn't surprising. The only shock is that Mitsu isn't cutting 3/3 of their workforce.
  16. Well a Wrangler is now impractical (two tiny, 2-door cars...no thanks) but since my son is almost old enough for a booster (worlds easier than his carseat) and we dont plan on having kids for a while, something along the lines of a larger coupe has some appeal. I've been meaning to take an extended drive in an Accord coupe, and play around in it, see how well it fits me. An 07+ SRX (they're pretty cheap used) would be a pretty nice ride as well. It shouldn't be something I have to worry about for a year or so. I'll make the wagon run forever, I will buy another car sometime, but I plan on keeping the wagon, even if it needs a new engine/transmission. Edit: The more I think about it, the more I think about having to look hard into a Genesis coupe and Camaro convertible. Or just make a complete swerve and find a 4-door M3. Or do what my friend did and get a Maxima. Ugggg...I cant think about this right now, too many other things to take care of first.
  17. People Eating Tasty Animals?
  18. On a completely unrelated subject, if GM had brought the Crewman to the states (it would've fit into GMC's lineup nicely) I would have told her to keep her car and I would have bought one.
  19. I went to the restroom at work today (I had just been outside, so my hands were freezing, my wang is still hiding from me) and while I was standing there doing my business, I heard a phone ring. Then I heard someone answer the phone. Curious, I looked and saw one set of feet in one of the stalls. The dude was sitting on the toilet and he answered his phone. Why? That just seems wrong and icky. I dont want to be talking to someone while they're pooping.
  20. Nope, no sport suspension. She test drove a Cooper S with the sport suspension and said that she still felt like she was shaking for a few minutes after getting out of the car. I would have done a few things differently, like no Nav and I probably wouldn't have gotten foglights and the driving lights. Seems like a lot of forward lighting that will never be used. Oh well, not my car, mostly not my money. And yes, I love the idea of white wheels, I dont think I've ever seen one in person with them.
  21. Mini offers a ton of different roof options, if I could go sunroof-less (never would unless I had to), I'd go with the Union Jack or Mini logo, the American flag on the roof of a British car engineered by Germans seems wrong.
  22. Sunroof is a must have for me, but I could do without the checkerboard.
  23. Wow, that paint is in fantastic shape. It doesn't mention if its been re-sprayed or not, but that color is great.
  24. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich for lunch. Take that PETA, thats 2 animals!
  25. Got the details of what she ordered: 2009 Cooper 6-Speed manual 16" white wheels Lightning Blue/White roof/mirrors (when push came to shove, she just couldn't do yellow ) Black leather/JCW Carbon Fiber dash/shift knob 10-speaker sound Premium Package (sunroof/auto AC/leather steering wheel) Cold Weather (heated seats/mirrors/washer jets) Convenience Plus (rain sensing wiper/auto-dim mirror/armrest/iPod connection/garage door opener) Traction Control Xenon headlights/fog lights Navigation (no, I dont know why) Driving lights (YAY!) Checkerboard sunroof graphic
