    Freaky

How come all the old Iowa farm houses are haunted... If I had a nickel for all the ones we went to growing up and turned up nothing...
  2. Cray_Z28

    Yay!

This thread is useless without pics...
  3. Cool pics, thanks for sharing! Although, not to be picky, but Zora's car was a 1974 454, last year for the 454. You have it marked as a 1973, which came with a poly nose and steel chromed rear bumper. The rear went to poly in 1974.
  4. When faded, worn, and torn jeans WITH grease stains come into "style" I got it covered!
  5. Found a 1960 Olds Dynamic 88 4 door, solid body, interior needs attention, motor removed this weekend... Located in Texas.
  6. Was it the one where the animals are skinned alive? That one was pretty bad.
  7. Sweet addition. I don't think I would have the strength to part with the Camaro, but the picture that shows the windows down and no post is convincing. The blue interior will probably limit the exterior colors a bit if you are not going to keep it as is. It looks good white! Congrats again.
  8. Black with Silver racing stripes or Sunset Orange Metallic. I saw one that body style that was two tone with 2 shades of burgandy. The one on top was darker than the one on bottom seperated by a pin stripe of related color. With that dark gray interior, you are not limited. It wouldn't hurt to stop by your paint retailer and request the DuPont house of Kolor catelog and pick out some samples.
  9. The intermediate steering shaft can make you think something is loose in the steering. The only "fix" GM has to offer for it is to remove it, lube it, and reinstall it, to have it reoccure 15000 some miles later.
  10. Is September included in that "so"?
  11. I have an 05 CC SB 4x4 LS with 51500 miles on it. Before I lifted it, I was seeing around 20 mpg average and about 16-18 mpg in town. I didn't see any good milage (above 13) until about 20k miles on it once it started loosening up. Mine has a 6" lift kit on it with 315/70/17 tires on it. Milage dropped to 13-15 average. Installed a 4" down pipe back exhaust unit on there and milage increased once the cat was removed and the stock muffler replaced. Now I am seeing 16-18 mpg average. I think that I could have got near 25 mpg with the 245 stock tires and stock suspension, but it is only a theory. All these numbers are with summer fuel too. It takes a hit with winter blend. I have the DiabloSport Predator tuner with the 40 hp tune. With performance enhancers like that, it throws the DIC off so it reads 25 mpg, when hand calculations shows other wise. My EGR valve has also been defeated which helps reduce EGTs. www.dieselplace.com is a good source for information. The ride on the truck is excellent. 26K is a great price too!
  12. You are not going to be changing anyones mind by arguing which manufacturer is the best. What you are going to find here is 99.9% of the people will vote on the Chevy 350 and 0.01% will vote on the 351. If you put this poll on a ford site, you will see reverse results. Arguing over and matter like this is silly. Smiling and nodding with a $h! eating grin will agitate your opponent more than the arguement will. Throwing things is also another bad habit as you may know. It's always break time if you get to the point of losing your cool. As for your job, it is possible you can lose it over a who's better arguement and completely not worth it. More than likely, they may put you on probation and recommend anger management classes and they will expect you and Patrick to make up and have no further issues. This may be a time to focus on Chevy better than Honda and Ford better than Toyota debates, which I am sure he will go along with it. Chevy and Ford (and Chrysler, maybe) fans need to unite for the cause of domestics. The Chevy vs. Ford debate can resume after the foreign manufacturers are beaten down where they belong. Good luck with work tomorrow.
  13. My fleets average age is 1984.6.......
  14. 1957 CHEVY 210 4 door sedan (1967 327ci, powerglide) 1971 CHEVY Corvette Stingray 270hp 350 M22 1990 CHEVY Silverado Z71 regular cab/sportside 6" lift 33" tires 350 700r4 (beater) 2000 CHEVY Camaro Z28 346 4L60E 13.2 1/4 mile basically stock 2005 CHEVY Silverado LS CrewCab short bed 4x4 Duramax/Allison 6" lift 35" tires A CHEVY for all of my attitudes!
  15. The GM 3500's I believe if properly equipped are rated for ~22000 above the rear axle with a GN or 5er hitch. Only 12000 at the class V hitch bumper pull... I would guess that the Dodge would have to be close to compete.
  16. The Duramax is awesome! You can get quite a bit off power out of the motor just by programmers and chips! You have to build up the Allison though for anything past 90hp.
  17. Sorry to hear that you have to get rid of your toys. Not an easy decision to make. I have a friend looking for a Formula/Firehawk. If you come to a final decision, please PM me with specs and a price.
  18. I'd say the first tank of gas is on me. I cruise the hell out of new(er) cars so the tank is always empty.

    Pictures!

me, my pup, and my newest ride, 15 minutes after 6" lift.
  20. I'll be there on the 5th of October, hoping they will have more than the Tahoe, but beggers can't be choosers...
  21. My parents had to co sign for a loan when I got my 00 Z28. I refied 1.5 years later for a better rate and was able to do that on my own. Whan you have your meeting with your parents and the FA, bring it up that this could be short term and just to establish a credit history. Another thing to think about to if this doesn't work out for you... My favorite car is a 1997 Camaro SS convertible 30th Anniversary Edition, Artic White with Hugger Orange strips, LT4, 6 speed manual transmission, and the houndstooth interior. I want one of those really bad! I feel it would bring me complete happiness. Cars I own currently are a 1957 Chevrolet 210, a 1971 Corvette Stingray, a 1990 Z71 reg. cab sportside with 6" lift and 33" tires, my 00 Z28 T-tops and A4, and a 2005 2500HD Duramax/Allison CrewCab Shortbed 4x4. There have been times when I could have bought my dream car (haven't found one exactly like it, missing the LT4, but I wouldn't complain if it was the LT1) but chose not to mainly for the fact that it is always better for me to think and dream about possibly owning my dream car one day than it is to actually own it and see it get rock chips, sratches from unappreciative people, some stupid broad coming in off the freeway cutting across 3 lanes of traffic to hit the right rear wheel... I really hope that you are able to get the car of your dreams! I remember the way I felt when I got the Z28, but not getting it is not the end of the world either. Do what you can to get the deal worked out. If it DOESN'T work out, it is for a reason. Something else is bound to come through for you and it could be better...
