  6. So.... nr. 23 would be an effed-up condom, right? In all seriousness, it's those 'strength' and 'reliability' results are scary... it's not only about unwanted pregnancies, but mostly about STDs... I'm glad that I never had a condom break before I dedidcted myself solely to spiritual matters (i.e., stopped effing around).
  7. they don't do it because common sense is a rare commodity
  8. å pronounced like 'oh' in Swedish. They list it as a separate letter at the end of the alphabet, not as an a-with-a-ball-on-top

  17. Here are my comments on my favourite GM brand: Best looking: 1. New CTS - best production A&S IMO 2. SRX - best production A&S until the new CTS came along IMO Worst looking: 1. BLS - it lacks those RWD proportions. 2. DTS - it just doesn't do anything for me. Also doesn't have RWD proportions Other comments: 1. China-only SLS looks better than STS: I think the extra 4 inches help the car's looks, and I hope the NG DTS/STS is about SLS size. 2. I like the XLR, even though the rear is very toned down from the concept's thin fin-like tail lights. 3. If I was in the market for a car, the Escalade/ESV/EXT wouldn't be on my list, but that's a matter of personal preference. 4. I hope Alpha goes ahead - I'd like to see a RWD/AWD BTS below the CTS.

  20. That expression is used in Portuguese as well.It happens anywhere, but it does sound to be more of a Latin thing (Italy, Portugal, Spain, France) that a Northern Europe, US, Australia thing... What I find interesting is that I feel this is an experience I needed: going through this kind of experience thickens your skin, and it has helped me get my priorities straight.
  21. É verdade! The guys I work for think they're the only smart and competent people on Earth, and that everyone else is an idiot... They're quite good in taking advantage of their family names and connections, but they're at the lowest of 'lowest' in terms of how they treat their employees, with the exception of a few darlings who appear out of nowhere (usually by personal invitation by one of the partners) and get ahead of anyone when it's time to decide promotions. And they get promoted whether or not they had the most challenging/complex assignments: fun stuff! It's getting so awkward, that in Accounting it's happened 4 or 5 times that new people show up to their 1st day of work on a Monday and decide to leave 2 or 3 days later! I'm so fed up, that I already decided to leave by August/September of next year (after I finish my Masters), but if something comes up in the meantime, I'm getting out of that place...

  24. I'm confident GM will be able to differentiate the Delta II and Epsilon II models.

    Toyota Auris

IIRC it's a robotized 5-speed manual with paddle shifter and an automatic mode, not a CVT.
