Muitos, muitos parabéns! and And you're absolutely right! In the end it's very much worth it, for whatever reason you do it. To me it's ending up to be about redescovering that I do like learning/growing/developing as a person, bringing back the 'fire' if you will... I have to say that the Masters plus 'Svensksa kursen' have been incredibly rewarding so far!

Heroin White is an addictive colour. You'll never buy a different colour after that IIRC the correct name is 'Heron White'

We never had that over here: Euro Civics had this stupid magazine ad with some aliens on it... reply to thread: unrewarding sex (it associates well with both the dumb blonde thing and recent changes in my life)

Spied: 2010 Opel Vectra
Or, when you learn something like Swedish, you find out that apart from names, male/female distinction is almost non-existant. In Portuguese, however, even objects are male of female: a cadeira (female), and o avião (male).

Spy Shots of the Corvette SS?
I think they're hyping it, as if a 600hp Corvette would need hyping

2008 STS Loads up on Safety
At first glance, the interior revisions, the extra tech goodies and and the new engine seem positive. Those side vents look like the afterthought they are, though: they should be part of an all-new design and not glued on the current styling IMO...

Death of the V8?
I do think we'll see the trend of smaller turbo-/supercharged engines taking over bigger engines as gas prices rise and emission regulations get more and more stringent: Renault is introducing a 100hp turbo 1.2L I4 and VW is working on a 1.2L Twincharger engine (supercharger + turbocharger). Don't know what GM or Ford have in development, but I would see them both following the trend sooner rather than later. But even from an enthusiast's point of view, if the Ford's 1.6L output is similar to the GM 1.6L turbo's (180 hp DIN in the Astra), then replacing those two engines wouldn't even be considered a trade-off, as it would offer more power with better fuel economy and emissions, with the added benefit of a very flat torque curve as lots of turbocharged engines offer nowadays.

Rekord? Or maybe Ascona, so they'll have to change the car's name in Portugal again

Presidential candidates and their cars
They're so smart they'll drive one just because it's fashionable. They're politicians, remember? :AH-HA_wink:

Death of the V8?
Evok's "death of the V8" remark was more of a "death of the V8 as a mainstream engine" remark. I'd like to see a discussion on his premise of the V8 becoming what it is today in Europe (a top-of-the-line engine) and not a discussion on his ability to choose an article title that pleases everyone.
