  1. Is this the vehicle that GM do Brasil was charged with developing?
  2. Looks way better in darker colors it seems.
  3. Looks much better on the other pic I saw, the one with the girl wearing a miniskirt... Could be the girl-wearing-a-miniskirt-effect though
  4. It could very well be. My MINI is behaving the same way and I'm now 99% new injectors will be needed as the reprogramming didn't help...

  8. The 2.2L used in the Captiva has two variants, rated at 163hp/350Nm and at 184hp/400Nm. The 184hp/400Nm version, even though it has less torque than what I expected, would be the perfect fit for the vehicles you listed

  10. This (as it is quite a helpful life goal) plus surviving through a proposed merger which is almost a done deal and which may have repercussions.
  11. I agree that a diesel should be in the pipeline, but perhaps the Captiva's 2.2L engine would be a better fit.
  12. One should offset the 10 billion dollars loss against all expceted future income taxes to be paid by GM staff and GM itself (I know about the loss carryforwards applying to post bankruptcy GM).

  14. The story I read was that SAAB wanted AWD on Epsilon I and GM said no, so SAAB kept it pretty much to itself (perhaps some of the differences to the other GM Epsilon I models was related to that? Floorpan, rear axle, etc?) until they got the breathing room in their budget to do it. I think (from looking at the Astra's interior) that with Delta 2 GM didn't even bother designing a floorpan with a tunnel wide enough for a driveshaft to pass. And the rear suspension does not allow for said driveshaft and a rear differential.
  15. you win this thread
  16. It all starts at home IMHO.
  17. Actually, I think the concept isn't quite production-ready: the bumpers and wheels (at least) would have to be somewhat modified for production, and it would surely have a B-pillar (cost-effective rigidity given this would not be high-priced). There's this brand new Opel Meriva parked close to my office every day, and the suicide doors seem to be of good use in the real world. I'd hope for the GMC to keep that feature.
  18. I just hope the production version of this doesn't eff up the styling too much...

  21. Neat looking, isn't it?
  22. This is an interesting bit: pretty much the same impact as just adding a new heater at home.
