  1. Revisiting the thread: this should have been produced, even if only as a 2-seater (as Kappa was too inflexible for the 2+2 modification).
  2. Love the red one, wvwn though I don't like the grille design that much.
  3. Very interesting! I'm very curious to read your final writeup regarding the Volt.
  4. Too bad GM can't market a civilian version of this in the US and retire the W-Body Impala for good
  5. New diesel engine on the Cruze is rated at 163PS @ 3800rpm and 360Nm @ 1750rpm I think there's a version rated at about 130PS, but they don't sell that here as the Portuguese tax is all about displacement and CO2 emissions.

  12. I agree. Lambdas are, along with the current Epsilons, the best platform-sharing GM has ever produced.
  13. It would take some 2 years to select an engine, test it and certify it; that would give SAAB a 2 to 3 years payback period. Not enough volume in those 2 to 3 years to justify adapting the architecture to a 4-cyl turbodiesel. When a Phoenix-based 9-4X takes the place of the current car, then it will make perfect sense as that platform will essentially be a reegineered Epsilon.
  14. Using the 1.9L and 2.0L GM diesels AFAIK
  15. I know, but I don't really agree there. 9-4X was needed because of North America and eventually some emerging markets such as Russia; but with big engines only and no diesel it will be of limited appeal elsewhere IMHO. A 9-5X (no need for a new naming; it works with the 9-3X) would be a not so expensive way of offering for example a diesel AWD SAAB wagon as the Haldex system doesn't fit the 9-3 when equipped with the 1.9L diesel. And nobody calls the A4 the Audi Outback
  16. Interesting point of view, as I think a 9-5X raised station wagon (AWD-only) could have more global sales potential than the 9-4X, which will remain mostly a North American affair (at least until a new Phoenix-based model appears).

  18. Apparently it will get some enhancements in the interior materials department which of course will spread to the 9-5 sedan.

  22. I've often said this same thing about women Seriusly: thanks for the pics. My favorites are the Durango and the interior on the Journey, but I have to say the Sebring-to-200 update (more of a serious upgrade) looks interesting. I like what Chrysler is putting out.
