Cool! Hard Rock Cafe in Lisbon has a 1959 Cadillac hanging from the ceiling. I'm pretty sure it's just chassis, wheels and interior (no mechanics), but it looks really cool.

Dealer/service experiences can make or break future deals and get people out of a brand and straight into the competition's arms. I have the MINI in the shop for an engine repair (started overheating). Been there for 4 weeks because the guy in charge of the service department went on holidays without calling me, just leaving the car there in a corner waiting for God knows what (since the replacement part is, at most, in a warehouse in Spain, which means a 24 hour delivery time)... For this, and since I'm thinking of getting new wheels soon, no more MINI and no more SANTOGAL (the company that owns this MINI franchise).

While in Spain last week and while having lunch in a small village close to the mine, I noticed a camoed Audi passing by. From the size of the car and its profile, I think it was an Audi A7 mule.

China is sitting on a lot of foreign currency reserves it accumulates from its trade surplus. The big issue always has been that the foreign currency markets do not reflect economic fundamentals but pure politics ("strong dollar policy" in the US, for exmple, which for the most part is political talk, i.e., crap). I think that, in time, one of two things will happen: either the foreign currency markets adjust to China's and everybody else's surplus and reserves, or the wage increases in China erode their cost advantage.
