  1. Looks great! If they can keep those looks for the production vehicle (for whatever brand it goes to) I'd say it'll be a hotseller.
  2. A litte of topic, but I just read an in depth article about the Chernobyl incident. It's incredible how many mistakes were made and how many chances there were to prevent the accident. A good read (and a damn interesting site! :P ) Chernobyl Article
  3. Personally, I think GM is going the right direction. Lutz seems to know what he's doing, and I can only hope the rest of GM is making the right decisions. However, it's still excruciatingly frustrating to see lackluster product being built. Could Zarella really have had such an influence? All GM needs is time, because to tell you the truth, I would only seriously consider a few products from the General right now. The rest could be fed to the dogs, Fisher-Price plastic interiors and vanilla designs included.
  4. The Sixteen is, to me, the best concept car EVER made. And it has nothing to do with me being a GM fan. I nearly died when I heard GM wasn't going towards the Sixteen direction with the future Cadillacs. I think it's one of THE most stupidest and utterly ignorant decisions GM has made with Lutz.
  5. You konw, what would really spice that steering wheel up is to actually put the real Cadillac emblem on it. Like 3-D, know what I mean? Infiniti places it's real logo on the steering wheel, not some image of it. A plastic cap won't do good on a luxury vehicle.
  6. But think about it, Buick never really advertised it. At least not enough for me to notice it. Anyway, I think all of this is embarassing. Is this all Buick has to show for?
  7. Kind of a flat face. Nothing head turning or worth a second look.
  8. With all the disses aimed at Ghosn, some people are missing the point that GM is being mismanaged...
  9. Oh god. That's a hit in the chest right there. :( Please don't tell me the clunky DTS lights will now be the future direction. I just don't understand GM sometimes. You get a big hit, then you water it down. The Sixteen was a BIG hit, but if you call this SUV Sixteen influenced, you have to have some vision problems. You guys had it, damnit, you had it! I guarantee you that if the future Cadillac were in fact Sixteen influenced, it will overtake ANY luxury brand. It was perfect, it was sleek, it was the past and future together, and it was boldly American. Mind my language, but who was that f*cked up the plans?
  10. I'm just disappointed with the so-called Sixteen influence. I'm sorry, but that's more clunky DTS than the refined Sixteen. I'll hold my final judgments until later... I have to admit though, it has the 'in your face' look of the previous one.
  11. I don't get it, what's wrong with a screening? It just shows a car to a bunch of people a couple days before the world sees it... Is there something more important that I'm missing here? Do people who attend a screening somehow gain executive powers or something? And who are you going to invite besides enthusiasts? People of the street? Honda fans? The media...? That's been working well...
  12. I understand if cars are more suited to American tastes, but that's a bit too much. Especially with all the excuses because this is 'an old man's car,' I really don't know too many fat 90 year olds... GM: Fix the torque steer, fix the design and make it look good. Or just scrap it, and make the Sixteen with 4 doors and a little smaller...
  13. I like it. Though I wish the headlights were more Sixteen than DTS...
  14. Rear is Corvette? (I admit the round lights, but the proportions???) Saturn in front? Someone has been drinking the GM juice for a little too long Josh... :) Looks great though, I hope they keep it the same in production.
  15. Enclave? What the hey? Sounds like engrave. (sarcasm)Sounds luxurious(sarcasm)
  16. I agree, I have yet to see a refresh that changed a lame duck to a swan...
  17. Where did you hear that? Doubt it, there's always some outlandish rumor about an upcoming GM interior and all of them failed. This takes the cake... I expect the same layout as the other GMT's with a bit more polish. That's all.
  18. It's a bland Buick that won't get a second look from a non-GM knowledgable person. Hate to say this, but I'd take the Lexus. Or even better, a Cadillac! The Velite-like replacement can't come any sooner... <_<
  19. Corvettes yes, some Cadillacs yes, Buicks maybe during the 60s (I'm talking about people who can afford 70k vehicles, will they honestly buy a Lacrosse?) Maybe being in New York is a bit different, but honestly, I've never seen a Buick in anybody's million dollar home unless it belongs to their teenage son. I just find the STS a bit underwhelming, just not as flashy as its more popular brother, the CTS, and definitely not as lustful. And making a more expensive V version of it won't really change anybody's mind, especially if the more experienced European sedans are closely priced. I'd take the least expensive CTS-V anyday...
  20. Not too many affluent people buy GM vehicles, so who's going to buy it if the middle class can't afford it?
  21. I actually like the Yukon better than the Denali. Really smooth and almost concept like. Pretty cool! :)
  22. The vehicles from the 40s to the early 70s is what really makes me love GM. I don't really care for anything now but for Cadillac and Buick to reach it's glory days. Cadillac is almost there, but Buick isn't even close. Comon GM, make the Velite already! :P I'm tired of Buick's dowdy designs. Have been all my life...
  23. If this really is the new Ion, I LOVE IT! Sign me up! :P :P :P
  24. I have to agree with another member here and say that the F150 still has the better interior. I don't tend to compare products too much, but I have to mention this because of Lutz's statement a year ago: "I don't think Ford went far enough with the interior." (Which excited me too much, I'm afriad.) Both of them are about as equally good in terms of craftsmenship, but the aluminum trim in the Ford really gives it that shine. Unfortunately, GM still relies on black plastic for much of it's interior, albiet in smaller amounts. Sorry Lutz, looks like Ford really did go farther... *I have to mention that the Silverado still hasn't debuted yet so they may prove me wrong. I'm expecting the same interior though, with possibly different trims.
  25. Good job GM. A pretty nice redesign, though the interior isn't really what I hoped for. (For all the talk about the greatest interior ever, it's just a copy of the DTS and Lucerne interiors.) Which brings me to another point: Are all the GM900s going to have the same interior, with just trim and colors to tell them apart? I wouldn't be surprised... <_< (I mean really, if a Chevy SUV copied a Cadillac, then why wouldn't the rest of the lineup do the same...?)
