  1. Yeah, and don't worry if the heat shielding cuts the old plug boot up, you're not reusing them so no use in making it pretty when you remove it.
  2. That's a cute lookin kid man. And yes you do need some of him "acting proper" and not sucking his bottom lip That's really a good looking rug rat good luck and congrats with him Satty!
  3. sorry to hear about your Impala scharmer. Hope that it get fixed, no matter what, as long as you don't get stuck with the bill.
  4. Hey Josh, sorry to hear about your Solstice. Glad you're doing all right. That's the most important thing. I've had a few concussions of my own from playing football so I know what they're like. The only thing that heals them is time. As far as the person is concerned, if you got a description and even a partial veicle plate, then you can file that wil the Police and they'll pursue it as more of a "hit & run" rather than a single vehicle accident. My insurance company is the same on the Cobalt and our Impala, since they're both financed, then they HAVE to have full-coverage.
  5. I love that. My only wish would be to see it down here too.
  6. Oh, I'm sure its do-able, I just don't have the time, nor money to even attempt at the conversion.
  7. I uhh, almost clicked the link, but I read a couple of the posts and decided against it. I've got a Mach III that I use, and I can't complain about it. However, my wife also has one for her legs, under arms and etc, and I have mad the mistake of grabbing hers and shaving with it. All I have to say is MAJOR TIRE DAMAGE.... I don't know what a woman's hair is made of, but you could probably clean metal with it.
  8. I actually liked the GTO. I definitely saw where people just called it a "fat cavalier" but it still looked good to me. Sure it could have looked better, but that's what happened to be the best for what they could do then I applaud them.
  9. We've got two GMC Canyons in our delivery fleet at CarQuest and they've only had one major problem. One of the trucks had a rock fly up and punch through the condenser....that had to be replaced. Other than that, they've had oil changes and brakes, nothing else.
  10. Yeah, I'm waiting to hit 25 and I'm sure that ours will go down. Of course as Amy's accidents and tickets file off along with my single accident and single ticket file off, the rate will drop too.
  11. Yeah, its always fun when you're used to a mechanical clutch and you get that very first hydraulic one...you'll think you've hurt the thing from pushing so hard.
  12. The 366 was a fine HD truck engine.
  13. I haven't seen much. Solstii, couple of Skys, one Z06, lots of GMT900s (more than I can easily count). Ran across an Alabama State Trooper Charger (didn't know we were getting them, but okay), that's about it.
  14. Yeah, you say that about a half-ton pickup.... Imagine pushing the HUGE spring clutch in on something old, like say the bastard that's in the '66 International that's currently occupying our shop.
  15. I guess I should have phrased differently. At first Acura (at least in my mind) was supposed to be this uber-lux brand. Now they are coming down to a more "middle class" brand of things leaving Honda and Acura somewhat fighting for the same territory, if you get what I'm saying. I know that most of their sales are doing well, They've always sold well with the five-ish modles they've had since Acura's inception into the US car market. I've never bashed them for lack of diversity....
  16. I've got one made out of a set of HUGE wooden C-clamps
  17. How about strut spring compressor :rotflmao:
  18. I've noticed that everyone seems to be jumping onto the Firefox bandwagon. maybe its just because its the "new thing".
  19. Hey Cort, as long as you can see the silver lining of the clouds even if a tornado is outside, you're doing well man. I've also had some time in the past two or three days to start wondering about my friends from school that I left back in 01 and the rest that I left when I completed my degree in 05. Part of me would love to go back to high school and do it all over again because there are definitely some things that I would change, but overall, I have to say taht I enjoyed my time, and the people I was able to spend it with. Good luck on keeping your head up and finding all the things your looking for. Just remember don't look too hard, because sometimes the things you're looking for are right under your nose, or maybe your Monte's.
  20. I'm using IE right now, no problems, no pop-ups, I have no problems with it.
  21. Part of me did think about the tools and equipment that my dream garage would have, but at the same time, this is a car enthusiast site, not a tools and equipment enthusiast site.
  22. So, your parent's have attracted a Texas Speedbump? They're odd little creatures that's to be sure, but watch out if you have anything planted in that yard, they'll easily root it up and kill it.
  23. Congrats to you Satty. Looks like a strong healthy boy. I can't wait till Amy has our little one. I still don't know what the child is going to be, everyone keeps saying a girl, I want a boy, my dad wants a boy, and my granddad wants a boy, so we're going to all hope for a boy. Honestly though, I'll be glad if the kid comes out with all the proper arms, legs, fingers, toes, and its healthy. Good luck to you on being a dad and I hope that y'all can get some rest soon (although that's unlikely with the two-hour feeding schedule).
  24. Happy birthday to you!
  25. I also agree with you on that one too Dog. The only way I can even think of the logic the writer has on this one is that with fuel prices increasing, people are going to want to get out of their "gas guzzling" trucks and go to something more economical. In that respect, since the Fridgeline is a "truck" and offers a "more efficient" V6 powerplant, in theory, people will flock to it.
