  1. Anyone post this yet? http://www.wired.com/cars/futuretransport/.../16-03/pl_motor not sure... I'm skeptical, looks almost like it's based on the 300C.
  2. Ouch! Hope no one got hurt. What a moron! If he had laid of the throttle after he popped the wheelkie he might have saved it.
  3. Wow... sad. Even a Vibe is still a T666yota.
  4. Oh geeeezzz.... is William Shattner in it? Wouldn't make much sense since it sounds like a PREQUIL? (sp?)
  5. WHY GOD WHY!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?????! Why must GM tease & taunt me with ANOTHER 21st. century hardtop I will never be able to buy? Even IF this thing comes out we'll just see a gross ugly B-pillar & glued in glasss in lieu of those awsome drop down rear windows! BUT.... if, just IF maybe this and the CTS coupe end up in production... as HARDTOPS then I might start caring about GM and be less misserable with modern cars. At that point all you guys can enjoy your Camaro 2dr sedan (I already have TWO two-door sedans a '77 Caddy & '59 Buick) but I might buy a gently used CTS coupe or even a new GTO (or whatever it's called.)
  6. Exactly.... so once again: There's only TWO downsides to nuclear power: 1. small risk of meltdown (accidental or terrorism) 2. Storage/disposal of nuclear waste. That's not exactly the silver bullet I'd hope for in terms of eliminating our dependance on fossil fuels! Again, I'm a supporter of Nucler power but I think that Hydrogen is the best solution.
  7. The spotlight is priceless! GOtta love old people. I swear some old dude has probably had a Chevy dealer install a vinyl top & continental kit on a Corvette! That video of the Turbocharged Caravan SWB that smokes a Camaro is funny but didn't that Camaro run like a 16.8 @ 75mph? Probaby a 2.8 V6 powered Berlinetta...
  8. Well, for $34,000 (or whatever) I'd much rather have a 99% MINT '68-'71 Cultass two-door hardtop, AND save on insurance/taxes. but the Datsun 350Z is quite cool... for a MODERN car. It's RWD and has interesting styling & a timing CHAIN so it's already 1,000,000,000,000,000 times cooler than any Toyota.
  9. Yeah, nuclear power is fantastic... on paper. The pollution resulting from it & the massive amounts of heat it generates is nothing?! (for the record I'm a supporter of nuclear power) As far as my carburated Cadillac it's more CAR than any pathetic French car will EVER be! But last time I checked the average French pansy-boy does NOT drive a '77 Coupe deVille with a carburated 7.0 liter V8. This "car" was "invented" to replace pieces of pathetic crap like some 1.4 liter, four-cylinder Renault or perhaps a 1.6 liter Opel. The only French cars NOT deserving or the crusher early and often are pre-war Bugattis.
  10. Cool, what's this thing supposed to be like Matrix/vibe-sized?
  11. Moltar: Do you really beleive this car is going to be more GREEN than an average, comventional car of the same size/weight? Perhaps IF you can use an electric compressor and never use electricity that came from fossil fuels or contributes to the make-pretend concept of "global warming/dimming"
  12. OMG!!!!!1! tAHNK god THAT THOSE CARS DID NOT ALSO HAVE A fixed ROOF LIKEA 1960S HARDTOP, THOSE THINGS ARE DEATHTRAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!@
  13. It's another case of robbing Peter to pay Paul. There's no such thing as FREE energy.
  14. Duuuuhhh... clearly the sheetmetal is cracking & splitting because the owner has been neglecting to do frequent oil changes!
  15. The blatant and idiotic waste of the Zeta platform is one of the most disgusting displays of stupidity and GM trying to ONCE AGAIN ram crap down our throat in a "we know best what YOU want/need" scenario ever... it's in the top-three. And that's saying a LOT. The pendulum swings ONCE again in my love/hate relationship /w GM!
  16. Agreed!
  17. God damn that's ugly. WOW, I thought the new Accord was going to be the poster child for Honda-fugly sedans but boy was I wrong, this thing looks like it fell out of the ugly tree, hit every branch on the way down and then got beaten by an ugly stick... That pathetic, cramped, FWD-stupid driver's footwell is laughable. Of the 523,917,448 things I hate about FWD the fact that the front wheel is 10" forward of where my left leg would comfortably rest in a RWD car is one of the top-ten most annoying.
  18. The Fox body Mustang is and always will be a classic & one of the best bang-per-buck platforms of all time! Say what you will but even most GM guys will admit that. That being said the styling of the 80s Fox body was pretty bland & uninspired. The Bronco II was real $h!pile, & I've destroyed TWO Mercury Topaz sedans in the demolition derbys, even though one was a semi-rare GS sport w/ the deluxe interior & a 5-speed trans. I don't feel bad about weeding them out of the collective FWD car pool.
  19. LOL that's ridiculous1
  20. Here's a video of the '62 Buick... XP was holding the camera, I of course was behind the wheel of the Special. http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=...ideoid=28910195
  21. Yes Virginia, there was a Toyota van even LESS safe than the Previa!!! The Reanault I was thinking of: Alliance. And let's not forget the pathetic "LeCar"
  22. 1. It's pronounced sh-Koda 2. I'd rather destroy every single Honda & Toyota ever made than an early '70s Skoda 3. When is the last time YOU drove/saw/owned a REAR engined, RWD four door sedan? 4. Those Czechs are jerks for destroying a car that complete.
  23. The Worst car of the 1980s? Can't pick just one. Ford Festiva, Renault Reliant, Hyundai Excell, Toyota Wunderwagen, Honda CRX (only 1st gen.)
  24. Here's a quick, crappy video I took of that Fleetwood Brougham DF just mentioned. 66: yes, it's absolutely true... I remember when I was a kid and a '69 Camaro was just some old $h!box. I was laughed at when I used to go on and on about how awesome '50s, '60s & '70s cars were. It's funny to think of the Banana Boat as a "classic", when I was a kid in the '80s a '77 something American car like the Banana would have been just some old $h!box winter beater to most people, now I'm driving one through the winter and I feel like a jerk for doing so but I can't afford to register/store/insure a fourth car right now. That being said I detest and despise the jerks & loosers that junk a car like that '87 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham...
  25. Well, the majority of the thousands of miles I've driven in the past few years has been in big BOF, carburated V8 powered cars... all decent to large cu. in. 307 350 364 394 425 455 472
