Say what you will (the interior is a bit awkward) but the Infiniti M is a great looking car IMHO. The 1st gen. took a while to grow on me, the 2nd gen. has always been a guilty pleasure of mine.

I can not beleive that people on THIS forum do not agree that the UAW have gone too far!?

The Holdens are coming the Holdens are coming!!

Why is GM so blind? If Ford put a Cougar emblem on the current Mustang people would still call it a 'Stang. If Dodge put a "Polara" emblem on the Viper people would still call it a Viper. If Mercedes made a gullwing sports car & called it the CLK-R or some silly thing we'd all still call it the SL300... Last time you saw a Factory-5, SuPerformance or Lone Star Classic kit car what did you call it? That's right: a Shelby 427 Cobra! Some cars/trucks are iconic, they will always be known by the public by a certain name. -
If I squint a tiny bit & and walk three blocks away it ALMOST looks different.

I know that most of the UAW are less educated than I am and somehow think they deserve 400% more pay. You can thank the UAW for all those Automotive jobs being shipped to China. Back in the day most unskilled workers who were putting together Cutlass & Regal four doors at the old Framingham plant in the 1980s were making $50/hr. I'd be happy to make 1/3 of that... in 2007 money!

It better not be a coupe... make it a two door hardtop or NOTHING!

Yeah.... not in a financial position to be putting new motors in old Cadillacs... if I did have money to burn on a beater Caddy I would haul that rusted half to death 1961 Fleetwood out of the junkyard.

There's no free ride here FoG, union or not. This aint the UAW... I'm bouncing around quite a bit but I loaded 4 trucks today.

Thanks guys. Yes it's hard work... I'm not doing brainless lifting either, theres a lot of momorization. It's nice to go home sore but feeling like I was productive. I'm hurting but I guess I could stand to loose a few Ell-Bee-Ess-es. I'm 162 right now, just a tad of a beer gut. We'll see where I am a few months from now. Everyone has been very pleasant. FoG: I'd be crazy to even work there without the benefits which only kick in once your Union dues are paid. The benefits are 90% of the reason why people are there.

I hope to god it does not take GM 22 more years to make a decent RWD, V8-powered, (pillerless) hardtop with an optional manual 5/6 speed transmission. If they complately drop the ball on hardtops I will most likely be driving a CLK500 in the near future. (3/4 years) As much fun as it is to daily drive the B-59, I'd like a hardtop and soon... if I can't buy a modern one and I can;t afford a Mercedes then I'll just buy some 1960s Pontiac or Chevy.

After my disillusionment with the dealership business it's actualy nice to 'work' for a living. I did a couple hours of orientation and then they threw me right out there. For the first time in my life I'm a member of a union, and I feel like I really could stay at this job for a long time. I better stay with it, I'm tired of bouncing around... The only bad experience of the day was I sliced open my knuckle on my right hand. (I'm right handed) And as luck would have it it was because of some jack-hole in' Sweeden who decided to ship a 3-foot piece of exhaust by just slapping a damn label on the catalitic converter. No cardboard packaging, no taped up sharp corners, NOTHING. So I grabbed it and felt a slight sting as a super sharp piece of metal on the end of the catalitic converter sliced right through my skin, by the time I glansed at my hand I was already dripping blood. Since it was busy-busy-busy I just wrapped my finger in a loose label and packing tape. F***ing SAAB, and more importantly, F***ing useless emission devices, I hate catalitic converters, it seems they hate me too.

I'd rather drive a REAL Buick, even if it is 49 years old! Besides, most of my vehicle's total cost (purchase price) is less than three average new car payments these days. When the Camaro its showrooms, and it has nothing but a rubber weatherstip seal for a B-pillar I will put my money where my mouth is. ... don't make me get mean about that jazzed up Pontiac 6000 of yours with a wrong wheel drive V8.

Yes, that's it.... take out your anger on a FWD sedan! I volunteer an Accord, Camry & MK-Z.

There's a LOT more to it than that. Old Hondas have their wheels fall off for a multitude of reasons, mostly crappy, lightweight suspension/balljoint design. I've seen this occur about a dozen times, not the actual wheel separating but a stranded 1990s Honda on the side of the road with a wheel cocked all funny and a long tiremark and gouge in the road from where the balljoint contacted the road. I hate Honda, this is just ONE of the reasons. http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...ic=9247&hl=

LOL @ Crown Vic? No, not quite... LOL @ all the unibody cars in this test. Time and time again unibody cars have not held up to the $hitstorm, beat-fest, abuse-galore-spectacular that is modern police duty. Already Mass State Troopers are complaining about the Charger's lack of durability when abused in police duty, subjected to the same no-holds barred driving that the ancient, "dinosaur" Ford Crown Victoria has been dealing with for three decades.

Cool. Good for GM save money where you can. Makes me think of the Chevette parts (front suspension) used in the Fiero.
