A Lyric for today
Camino: You probably already know this but that's the lyrics to "One Of These Days"... I think that's the coolest song of all time. Grew up listening to P.F. Simple, deep, perplexing & mostly instrumental. Love it.

A couple of members I miss having around the site
Yes, it's a full-sized Poncho... and it's RWD and it's V8 powered but no one mentioned that gorgeous pillarless greenhouse! I love 4dr hardtops. This is the LeSabre's evil twin.

The Curse hits hard
Fly, I agree... but that's a Bonneville. Even the FWd Bonnevilles I like to make fun of are much more sturdy and well built cars than some economy car To-Jota. Bonneville > Prizm.

4-door accounts for 82% of total Wrangler production
Fly: Again this is a complex argument. I've had first hand experience at a few GM Dealerships, I will tell you that the management who are not neccesarily listening to the customer are the ones ordering the new allocation. I remember when my manager at Bill DeLuca explained to me that the reason he ordered the LAST ever 2002 Camaro we were allocated in auto was because we NEVER sell sticks... Did I meantion it was a Black SS t-top? I can NOT tell you how many people came in to buy that car and laughed as they walked away. This was the same guy who said Camaros & Firebird would nosedive in terms of relsale value in 2002 since they were being cancelled. I pointed out that the demand will go UP since no more are being produced and the demand from kids like me will always be there, his response: "I was in the car business since before you were alive & I can tell you no one bought used Citations, Chevettes and Celebrities after they were discontinued." There is a reason why Toyota, Honda, Mazda & Nissan sell ten times the manual transmissions that GM does! Wanna know why? BECAUSE their dealer network does not tell the customer to go F*** themselves when they insist on that 5/6-speed that the asshole manager ddi not order. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Words of experience!

Buick Bringing Brown Back
What can Brown do for you? Fly's new LeSabre is a nice luxurious shade of earth tone.

Olds Ninety-Eight
The Acura MDX could have 10,000 buttons, it would still be an ugly pile of crap Honda Accord Minivan that you pay $7000 too much for because it has an "A" on the hood ornament instead of a spread eagle "H".

1983 Pontiac 6000 LE....DIESEL!
I know a guy I call "Diesel Dave"... he's got over 100 diesel cars, most of them rotting away in a big 20 acre plot in New Hampshire. He has a Diesel Celebrity & Chevette (4-spd) just to name two.

4-door accounts for 82% of total Wrangler production
There is no vehicle EVER that has ever been produced in the history of the world that would NOT make sense in a MANUAL trans. But there are plenty of cars/trucks that could be manual ONLY, since the demographic is going to demand it. The C6 Corvette Z06 & Cadillac CTS-V are perfect examples. I guess offering an auto in these cars would not kill anyone but it would be an insult to the purity of their race bred design, and besides like I said, who the hell will buy them?

The Curse hits hard
Unibody "frames" are never the same if not repaired with the high end bodyshops. Repairing a car with unibody damage must be VERY complex, think about it, the hard points for the suspension, and all related components all bolt up directly to the unibody & as such if the car is off by 0.1" it will never be the same. Today's unobody cars (esp. Toyotas) have sheet metal 'bout as thick as a Diet Pepsi can.

Mr. Cobalt, we are calling you out...
There's on such thing as a "good" civic :AH-HA_wink: but for just one exampe the Civic used to have double wishbones and Honda always shouted at the top of their lugs how this made it a better car than all the other econo-$h!-boxes. Then Honda went to the cheaper (& according to Honda: INFERIOR) mc-p struts but did the price go down? NO. Honda is all smoke and mirrors. I would take a Honda over a Chinese car, most Toyotas & Hyundai/KIA but that's like saying I'd rather get shot in the chest than in the face.
