  1. Most of those can be substituted for a similar car, but the 1930s era OHC V16 Cadillac Dual-Cowl-Phaeton stays damn it! Although Id' rather have the Red Devil V16 if it was ever to leave GM's permanent collection. Sneak peek at my next sig.
  2. So the Colorado with a full frame and usable bed weighs much less than that POS balsa-wood floorpan unibody rubbermaid container on wheels? Nice going Honda.
  3. Hmmm... good question. I know 1971 Imperials has a rudementary mechanical ABS option but the technology was invented by some Scandinavian COE 18- wheel tractor trailer manufacturer. "MAN" of "DAF" IIRC. Or perhaps "Scania"
  4. I'm a GM guy through-N-through but I too would keep the authentic Avanti and part wiht the 4th gen. Camaro now that the 5th gen. is just three years from production. That being said I'm sure you'll miss her and I hope she's off to a good home.
  5. If you did hear about those two topics in the U.S. media it would go something like this: Adults buying and registering firearms should be a crime but drilling holes in baby's heads as a method of birth control is completely acceptable.
  6. I like how it's a three door. And NO I'm not counting the hatch.
  7. This might be anothert one of those questions where there is two or three legitimate answers but if you read it very carefully there's but ONE correct answer. SAME manufacturer for all four cars. As in they're all the same Brand.
  8. Right. I did not want to cloud the question wiht an as yet unreleased model. And the M logo has always looked to me like a overlapping blue & red band of translucent plastic. red+blue=purple
  9. One basic chassis/platform from GM. It has four differnt variations including two different ones that are both two doors & two differentvariations that are four doors. They're all almost exactly the samefrom the A-pillar froward and made by the same manufacturer. None of their green-houses are even close to interchangable. Two completely different rear bumpers & tail lights shared by one two door & one four door. A couple of people on this forum own one. Name the four cars.
  10. Exactly Correct Hudson! :DI6, V8 & now V10.
  11. I'm with Fly in terms of the (6th gen.) '04-'07 Maxima's styling.Let's hope the 7th gen is based on the Infiniti M35/M45 like the Charger is based on the old E-class Benz. I've been saying this on the Maxima forums for about a year now.
  12. So let's recap. Americans are getting "soft" & stupid therefore this new generation of pu$$ys is buying Hondas like they're God'sgift to mankind. "I need a truck but I don't want to have a frame."Makes me sad to hear how stupid this country is getting. I bet most people who buy the Ridgeline should really buy the car who's platform it's loosely based on: a freekin FWD 4-banger Accord.
  13. Exactly... and we all know what Seville stands for. Just because some marketing whizz who climbed the corporate ladder from Nabisco & Phizer and ended up at GM says STS does not stand for Seville T.S. does not mean we all were brainwashed and forgot what it stood for. Did you guys wake up one morning and say wow... what does STS stand for now that it's RWD? Maybe "Sold To Seniors"? Too much info = you give away the answer. I thik the fact that the car evolved into FWD and then back to FWD measn it was not out of production. The F-body did not evolve into the 2009 Camaro, it was killed & now will be resurected as the Camaro. Same with the Charger it's gone through three differnet life cycles and had one substantial interuption in production. Either way Charger was a great, legitimate guess.
  14. I love it... anyone notice it's got B-pillar delete? Coolness. Too badthey had to go "DUB" with the rims and "DoH" with the paint.

This site just sank to all all time low. This thread is disgraceful and you're making GM fans looks like complete idiots. I don't know what this whole Josh thing is all about and I don't care, I don't want to hear abotu it in every god damn thread though. I thought we're supposed to be discussing cars here not WPB-Harry & Josh. WTF is wrong with this place as of late? Don;t forget to point out how I'm an asshole because I left a note telling a Camry driving jerk that his Toyota didn't belong amongst Corvettes & '50 Cadillacs.
  17. Maybe the SRX stands for S-series (which is what exactly? ) but as far as I'm concerned the STS is still a Seville. Even if some moron at GM decided to call the next gen. the "S46" or whatever I think we all know it's a Seville. I guess if you wanted to agrue semantics you could say the Ford "POLICE INTERCEPTOR" is not a Crown Vic. I suppose there's no Crown Victoria emblems anywhere on it but in the end it's still a Crown Victoria with a beefier suspension.
  18. Ugly as sin. That Audi-esque style Edsel nose is NOT flattering to this car. Why do designers lack any sense of originality so often and instead just mix-N-match current trends?
  19. Shoot... there might be four gens of this car instead of three but I think the 1st gen was never imported here to the USA. In any case technically bump up all the stated gens. up one point. The rest of the question remains.
  20. I agree, Acuras are buzzkill, esp. the ones with super-cheesy rear emblems.
  21. We can argue this until the cows come home but STS stood for SEVILLE Touring Sedan since the car's 3rd gen. How is it that suddenly the STS stands for nothing in your mind? Do you think the Deville has been discontinued too since it's called the DTS now? STS = Seville anyway you slice it. Is a Ford Shelby GT500 still a Mustang? Of Course. Would you say an AMG E55 is still a Mercedes? I think so. So how is a Seville Touring Sedan NOT a Seville? Continuous production? NO. I think that's the key... the wording of the question eluded to a continuous production run, not a couple long interruptions and a complete lack of any flow or continuity. It was a good answer that I did not think would be offered since the Letter cars & Charger lack a continuous production run and have completely shifted their layout/demographic in between production runs. There was no 4dr Charger in the '60s, '70s & '80s and there sure as heck is no such thing as a 2007 300C with a two door hardtop body style like the original, not to mention a convertible. The Seville/STS has always been a 4dr sedan with compact or midsize proportions and a European flair. The biggest shift was the question at hand: 1976-1979 ---- Longitudinally mounted motor, RWD 1980-1985 ---- Longitudinally mounted motor, FWD 1986-1991 ---- Transverse mounted motor, FWD 1992-1997 ---- Transverse mounted motor, FWD 1998-2004 ---- Transverse mounted motor, FWD 2005-xxxx ---- Longitudinally mounted motor, RWD
  22. Okay, this car "model" has seen three generations so far. The second gen. has 2 more cylinders than the first. The third gen. has 2 more cylinders than the second. The logo consists of two primary colors converging to make a third. :AH-HA_wink:
  23. So long as you don't park your car on the lawn of the next Concours d'Elegance between a Dual Cowl Phaeton Deusenberg & a Pierce Arrow Roadster I will not so much as look at it, never mind write notes.
  24. Yes of course Fly was right. STS = SEVILLE touring sedan. Key word: SEVILLE
  25. 1. Someday I'll have a CVT........ in a 1959 Buick. 2. CVTs are not meant for Sport Sedans. 3. I'll start to give a damn about the Maxima when it's RWD again.
