  1. I honestly did not care if we had a boy or girl, but now I think it's actaully kind of neat that Sofia's going to be a girl who will not ask the mechanic for 710, she'll be the kind of girl who reminds the mechanic of the proper torque sequence & firing order on her dad's Super 88's 394 from memory.
  2. I'd be hitting my head about the FWD part... not DCX. But yes I agree, this is good news. GM needs to become more competetive and this is a great way to ensure that. I still think Hybrids like the Prius & Insight are 95% marketing tools 05% practical solutions to the problems of fossil fuels. It's a billionth of a percentage of a drop in the bucket. Cars aren't the biggest problem to begin with.
  3. Why not sell those "soon to be classic" GMs instead of just junking them? Don;t you think a 1986 Riviera & esp. a 1976 Delta 88 semi-laguna semi hardtop deserve one lest chance at life before you throw them in the crusher like some 1993 Camry with a rotted out strut tower? Maybe you don't have the $$$, time, space or enrgy to bring them back to roadworthy buit that does not mean NOBODY else out there will... make an effort and sell themfor $300 each instead of taking $75 in junkyard credit a piece.
  4. Hmmm.. interesting. I love BMW's evolution from the early 70s to the late 80s. The CSL, 2002, 5-series, 3-series, 6-series & 8-series all seem to have a very evolutionary line to them from one decade to the next. I think the Mark X is very much a 1992 Jaguar with quad round headlights instead of square ones. It's the same line & basic styling from one decade to the next. I actually love the S-type. I think it's a great retro version of the Mark II salon. ON the flip side I hate the X-type's styling with a passion... and the 97% Ford mechanicals ruin the car completely for me. On the otehr hand look at these photos and see if you can see the evolution in BMWs. Just being a devil's advocate.
  5. I want one... BAD! I just want a CTS-V a little bit more since getting my daughter in & out of the back seat would be much easier with a 4 door. Please God let the next gen. GTO be a hardtop... you know, no b-pillar.
  6. Wow... I like it. MUCH better than the current 9\5 with its ugly thick chrome "nerd eye glasses" headlight surrounds.
  7. @ TMP's comments. Nothing really wrong with NPR but there's better sources for news out there. Not that I bother paying attention but if I did care about World News more than I'd get my 411 from a few different sources and sort out the facts. Like maybe the BBC, some Canadian News, German Radio & Slovakian Radio. Somewhere in the middle the truth would be revealed. ----- As far as the car it's still ugly, poorly designed & craptastic. HOw much does this thing cost? 700 Euros?
  8. NOS: DO you throw a football around while tapping yourself on Super8 tape with your SONY HandiCam?
  9. Congrats. From now on your life will be forever divided into two "eras". Before & after this little guy came into your life. It's hard work at times but it's also the most rewarding job you can ever imagine... I love being a parent. Kids are fantastic.
  10. Balthazar: Just a thought... not to be rude but you complain often about how little BMW's styling evolved from the 60s to the 90s... how about Jaguar? I think they're a worse example of stagnat designs just getting old and aging poorly while chrome is replaced by plastic & rubber. 1980s & 1990s Jaguars are even more cheesy & ugly than this one IMO.
  11. Well spoken 76CT. I think Honda should make Motorcycles, generators, ATVs, Dirtbikes, Go-Kart motors & perhaps some T-Rex/Sparrow thing and that's it.
  12. NOS: "What's a pop-up?" Best setup & follow through EVER on C&G. Good teamwork.
  13. 14 more.... Base pic for my current signature.
  14. I'm not sober right now but that $h!'s wicked funny looking! What a goober... like a little Mack Truck Booger.
  15. Correct. You goys got it. A-body Chevrolets from the mid 70s to the early 80s. Too bad the Malibu coupe was discontinued in 1981.
  16. Who said anything about my experience being ruined...? I simply put a lazy jerk in their place. Almost everything else had a rightful place there. The Sky, a few Porsches, an old school Celica Supra and a few '80s pickups all custmized to at least some degree: some lifted some riding as low as my Super 88.
  17. Yeah you little perv. Put a parka on your pecker. I hear the hiv' sucks.
  18. Even most Korean cars look better than the new Seabring. The newest FWD cars from Mopar are all hideous. The Sebring & Caliber both look like they were styled by a "designer" who's qualifications were having gotten a D+ in High Shcool Geometry and a C- in Art Class.
  19. Best of luck with everything.
  20. Go little Cobalt Go!!! :sign0200:
  21. Happy Birthday Dude... how's the new house coming along?

    New MINI

Wow... looks great. Proof once again that you CAN restyle retro.
  23. True. I think over the years BMW has done well wiht ultimate driving machine. Why fix what is not broken? WTF is up with this whole change for the sake of change mentality we're stuck in?
  24. Cool, I'd love a Fiero one of these days.
