  1. Another cool photo I dug up in my imageshack account. -------- Moltar: As far as the 1972 Barracuda you're right. I almost forgot that Plymouth went back & forth like that kind of like 1980s Cadillac Fleetwood Broughams. First it was egg crate grilles then it was the fine-tooth comb style and them egg crate again.
  2. Nice, except I hate frenched headlights & aero style body color mirrors on cars that should have chrome mirrors with that 50s look ornate stem & bezel.
  3. Anthem: very cool, like it more than many production Olds cars taht used that styling. I forgot how much the Achieva looked like its concept car counterpart.
  4. Here's an actual PHOTO of it, as crappy as it may be. F+$k you Toyota, more proof you have not had an original idea in your 70-something years of existance in the automotive industry.
  5. Sorry, brain's quicker than my crappy typing skills. I typed XP833 instead of XP883. My bad. There's an illustration of this car in my book with a vanity plate that reads XP833 and above it includes the word HYBRID. I'll scan it in sometime in the next few weeks after I finish unpacking my crap at the new house.
  6. That's a 1970 right there... the 1971 is much better looking with quad headlights and a "gills" in its grille remeniscent of the gills on the side of a 68/69 Corvette but you probably already knew that. Was that the image they used for a 1971 Cuda?
  7. Yes indeed Balthazar... 6 and 8 cylinder motors would be HUGE in accordance with this formula.... not that I'm saying weather it's a 3-banger or a V16.
  8. Here's one XP uses on occassion: "uglier than a bag of mashed a$$holes" There's a mental image for you, & we've come full circle since this phraze relates directly to the styling of today's Toyotas.
  9. From an old thread somewhere on this forum or Buick-59.com. I made it cause I was bored and wanted to make some point I have since then forgoten about. Probably because I think 59 Buicks are hotter than even most chicks.
  10. Nope... but closer still, in some ways. I have a photo of this car wearing green paint but it's now black and I saw it in person a few months ago. It was much more impressive in person.
  11. Not likely since Balthazar is not the typical a$$ clown who drives an orange MG-B and preaches about the roadcorse superiority of some one-off hand built exotic with a Fiat motor.
  12. Good, then maybe if Marcia kicks me to the curb I'll have TWO Electra 225s... a 1959 Model manufactured in 1958, and a 1972 model conceived in 1971. That's my cutoff era anyway.. after the early 1970s it's all downhill. Besides, Electra would probably still carry 225 better than some girls carry 170. She's HOT! Unless she's like 400lbs:
  13. It's a win/win scenario. If you can afford the STS-V then great... you get more car for more $. If you can't afford an STS-V then the Chrysler 300C is not exactly something I'd mind driving. Now if it was me I'd take neither, the less expensive, more simplistic & more driver-orianted CTS-V with its true manual 6-speed & no nonsense pushrod.
  14. Seriously dude... I'm into old school $h! but the 4.3 has outlived its usefullness. I had one in my 1991 Blazer and loved it but this is retarded, the Atlas motors should be in everything with a BOF construction that does not have a V8. There's no reason to even make the 4.3, not like it's in any cars or whatever. You guys know I'm into old school stuff and don't like change for the sake of change but putting the I6 in the Silverado is a no brainer.
  15. So again I ask why not make the superior I6 standard? Drop the 4.3 already... it had a good run. The original SBC it was based on is long dead so why si this thing still around?
  16. To each his own but in terms of aerodynamics the Mopars seem to have an edge... now if you put glass headlight covers on the Ford/Merc like an E-type Jag then we'd be splicing atoms in that degree too.
  17. Probably the most significant & historically relevant thing to ever come out of Germany. I agree 100% with Harley, Balthazar & O.B. there's something beautiful about the VW Bug. The new one does not do a thing for me though. The original was awsome... RWD, air cooled, for a while manual trans only & waht little weight it had to tug around even that was well enginered. Low center of gravity due to the pancake motor & to top it all off it had a timeless look to it, hard to beleive it was almost three quarters of a century old when it was finally discontinued. Instead of all these POS, semi-modern, FWD complicated cars they're selling in third world countries the Bettle should still be made for those markets.
  18. Me too.... it's a tragedy that over four dozen people perished but when the Andrea Dorea is meantioned that's what I think of first. The ultimate hardtop.
  19. Out for Justice: Hummer runs over Honda. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQyd5ZUALoM...h=crash%20honda
  20. You're both way off but closer than you think at the same time.
  21. Post all of your favorite crash videos here. Any kind of accident, rollover, car fire or explosion welcome. I'll start off with a few Hondas getting destroyed or just #&$%ed up since I HATE Honda/Acura cars like the dickens. Is that a Adidas shoe or a car? No real damage to this S2000, but it's funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAlj5qSqkxg...h=crash%20honda This one is retarded, it's... well... just watch. First Step before going racing: check brakes.
  22. That wickedly funny TV spot. You might not want to watch this if you like VWs... I like the ONE whitewall.
  23. Does the dude who sells you frozen beverages have a dialysis machine strapped to his hip? How could I forget Chocolate? Although the closest we can get to the high end quality cocoa-crack here in the USA is Lindt. Lindt is great but I miss the variety & qualityn of inexpensive chocolates back in Europe. A local Stop & Shop here carries Aero once in a blue moon.
  24. Do you think it will sell well to French Canadian guys with Mullets & denim jackets? Perhaps we can finally let go of the tired & well worn Camaro = mullet stereotype and move on to trashing French cars & Saturns that are not the Sky or Aura...
  25. I just think that a big long full size American car like that looks super goofy wearing a tacked on 240Z style nose... the weird "nose-cone" on the Daytona/SuperBird was a lot more smooth & it not only looked better but was more aerodynamic. As far as the goofy super tall wiong? Well it's quite timeless since so many rice rockets wear similar ones today. For some reason though we refer to that style as an "F40 wing" after Ferrari instead giving credit where it's due.
