All those Taylor Hicks commercials got to you huh? I love the light tan interior, so much cooler than the gray that seems to be in 95% of cars today. Also, gotta love how the dash reminds you with option delete plates that there's at least four options you did not get. Seriously though, good for you for sticking to your guns and not settling for an automatic. I despise a$$hole dealerships who are too lazy to order a few cars with manual transmissions and then they try to convince you that even though you SAY you want a stick you really NEED an automatic... who wants to shift in 2006 right? Over the years I've told more than one saleman to go screw himself as a resulty of that exact conversation. I don't know why every dealership I have worked at was convinced that there's no demand for manual transmissions. Oh Yey! A 2002 Camaro SS T-top in black... AUTO. Way to F%$#ing go there brick Tamlin.

I agree with Fly: The Yaris is more lame than a Klingon Dictionary, but c'mon it was CGI and the pig & spider were not even supposed to be living creatures... (outside of the CGI element). They are inanimate objects. The spider is a collection of gas nozzles & the Pig is well a PIGGY BANK. I hate people who lack a hobby so they try to b1tch about anything and everything under the sun.

I want this car... hardtop of course! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-205475928660246104 The video is 18 minutes long... it's worth the time spent though. ---- How about a promo tape for the 1964 Imperial Crown? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7352716843237136256

I'm not exactly sure whether I should laugh or drive down there to Brookville just to give you a kick in the pills. I think that you're just one of those people that will not ever realise the consequences of your actions until it's too late, and by that I don't mean a totalled Millenia. While it was a pretty shocking joke with no harm done, it's not April Fools and stuff like this can be bad Karma. When life tries to teach you a lesson it's best to at least try to learn from it, not laugh in the face of danger. Good to hear you really didn't break your skull open on your A-pillar. Real funny joke though.

I'm in full agreement. Better than Honda, better than Toyota, better than VW/Audi... ----- YES!
-
Agreed, it looks good.

It's not rocket science Fly... pull door/side panel off and there's access to replace or fix the regulator/motor. I mean that's like me telling you "good luck getting your baby-No* motor's starter replaced", you do know where it's located right? Talk about inaccesible. Speaking of Mercedes, Hardtops & resurecting Plymouth: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...184&hl=plymouth

I'm surprised Fly did not comment on the hideous underbite Honda borrowed from the Durango. Oh and by the way Honda: sharp curves & round soft lines componded by a complex mix of weird bulbous shapes does NOT make your vehicle any better than just pain good design with consistency. Honda thinks it's way too complex and deep for its own good.

Oh yeah... it is lowered an inch or two, I mean a METER or two.

The other day I found myself drooling at the sight of a black CLK320. What a cool car, I'd prefer the CLK500 for its V8 but in any case a 2006 Hardtop anything is awsome in an era of thick ugly B-pillars on everything including 2dr cars that are supposed to be luxurious or sporty. Plus that huge rear window seems almost too big to slide all the way down into the rear quarter without hitting the rear wheel well. I hope at some point in my life hardtops are so abundant again I will not need to buy a used CLK500 to take care of my alergy to B-pillars ....I'm thinking the 5th Gen. Camaro will take care of that, still the CLK500 is HHHHHH-awt!

Looks good, still I can't get too excited about this when the Zetas are oging to be MUCH cooler. I prefer up & over sunroofs, why eat up interior headroom if you don't have to?
-
They're working on it. The Zetas have a lot of promisse. If Buick & Pontiac get two models each, Cadillac gets a BIG zeta if not two and Chevrolet gets three (incl. the Camaro) then it will be quite an exiting next few years. Oter than that, I'm going to sound like a broken record here, build the damn SIXTEEN already, it will show the world that GM is alive and well and that if they really set their minds to it they can kick Toyota & Honda's teeth down their respective throats. Granted it will take a couple decades but the first few crucial steps have already been implemented. RWD is the key to a lot of things, quality and trimming down these bean-counter B.S. products like the G5 & BLS will help. ONe of the most beautiful things I can imagine in this world would be a lineup of Zetas in the USA portfolio about as large in sales & popularity as the LX cars have proven for Chrysler, if not bigger.
-
Well congrats. If you have to drive FWD might as well make it a Ford and not Toyota. BTW: good for you for getting the stick, at least you will have a car that is somewhat fun to drive, you will not get bored with it as quickly.

" The American's are showing us how to do it! " Sixty-thousand pounds? Jeez... at current exange rates it's a bit over-priced in the UK and yet still very competetive, he thought it was a bargain. I missed it the `1st time around too.

If a fish pees in a forest and no one is there to

WTF? I don't get how that's racist? Fish? Pig? -
Yes exactly.... even my dad comented to me in like 1988 or 1989 how cool that trunklid looked on the late 80s Benzes... now everyone has them and the design has stagnated. I like certain huge headligths but then others suck. The super-skinny ones of the mid 90s suck because the projecto is not big enough to actually cast enough light, but now with silverstars etc. we don;t need a lot of reflector surface area. The worst headlights on the market right now are a tie between the Honda Element/Ridgeline and a close second is the outgoing gen. of the Lexus ES. WTF are they migrating towards the A-pillar? Were they still cooling off when the Lexus Quality Control took the car down the highway at 95mph and they melted and ran up the fender from the force of the wind???

76Trucker: You know what you need? Stuff in a 572 RamJet into that unibody beeotch.

Cool, congrats. Better pay?

Nice car, nice color conbo & seems liek agood deal. So long as the noise is not present go for it! You crack me up WMJ. SO very true abotu the dealership throwing on $h! tires just to look like they're "doing the right thing".

Don't get me started... Anyone who thinks that the Scion tC, G6, 02-06 Camry & Cobalt sedan do NOT have pretty much the same butt needs to get out more... not tomention the Lucerne is a 2003 Maxima with a waterfall grille.

buickman has a proven sales track record
Sixty8panther replied to buickmanwannabe's topic in The Lounge
I too sold new Chevrolets, Pontiacs & GMCs in an effort to help GM and help myself in the process while feeling proud of what I do. One of GM's biggest problems is their dealer network. As a former salesman I can tell you that 95% of the people working at GM stores are scumbags who would rather sell used Toyotas & Hondas to a spoon fed public than actually stand behind their product and contradict CR or MT. I've still got a few great friends that I made while working at GM stores and those people are fantastic individuals, but there's also a few I'd love to slap and tell them what Oxygen Thieves they are. It's sad when people in the car industry are only concerned about $$$ and nothing else. -
Nine times out of ten if I'm drinking it's a glass of red wine with my pasta. I've found there's only one "drug" for me and even that I do in moderation & on nights I have NO responsibilities what so ever.

Not sure what to do PLEASE READ, NOT MUCH TIME
Sixty8panther replied to corvette_dude729's topic in The Lounge
Dude, grab life by the balls, pick up the phone and call... just do your best to explain to her that you have feelings for her other than just friendship, before you know it you will be 27 (or whatever) and with a baby & girlfriend/wife and you will SOOOOO regret all those dozens of missed opportunities, TRUST ME. Be genuine, be real & don't let yourself get sidetracked. ASK , worst case scenario things will be a bit awkward for a while between you two, but at least you will KNOW. [/panther's_dumb_advice] -
Nick got it. This was a repeat question I posted that same photo of the M1 & Viper & asked it originally about a year ago. I was cleaning out my Photobucket when I noticed the photo and then remembered the question. Recycling at its best.

Air sickness (biologically gross things ahead)
Sixty8panther replied to ToniCipriani's topic in The Lounge
You can't sleep if you're feeling like you need to puke. I don't get air sick but one time this super-religious girl sitting next to me from Clevland to Manchester was praying the rosary like Mother Theresa the WHOLE time between boarding & take off... by the time we got in the air I was feeling like I should have taken the bus... I was not airsick but she was making me nervous.
