  1. Just got off the phone with XP and it's been decided... We're going to have vinyl decals cut (something the size of a credit card) anyone on this site is welcome to one free of charge. It'll just say TIGHT WHIPS CAR CLUB Thanks for the interest Caprice... here's your Sig. If the lens flare on the headlights do not appeal to you I'll remove them.
  2. Wasn't Rick the one to decide to euthenize the B-bodys? If so I'll be "Swinkling" right along with Buickman.
  3. Yeah, I was going to say they cut it open wiht the jaws of life to pry him out... still the hit on video was evidence enough that the guy should not have lived through that. Between hitting the concrete median wall, being pushed inot it by the 18-wheeler and getting rear ended by the bus it was a nasty hit. I wouldn't expect to survive that in a small car of the TT's size if it was older. Like my Datsun or any old Honda or J-car or what have you. As a kid I remember seeing a sky-blue K-car get crushed by and 18-wheeler when it jacknifed and the family inside was killed instantly.. the car just popped and flattened like a water balloon.

    BLS Review

Fantastic, thanks for asking. Just waiting for the inevidable Epsilon, Lambada & Delta Cadillacs to arrive at my local Cadillac showroom. I'll really be dancing on the rooftops then. Sometimes it seems the more new stuff GM learns the more old stuff gets pushed out of their small brain.
  5. Holy mother of hell... that is really one of those one in a million things. His wife looks a littl ebit like an ex of mine... I thought it was strange how he said the tape was "disgusting"? Damn it's pretty cool IMHO esp. since he came out mostly unscathed. I guess his perspective is not one of a demolition derby fanatic with Adrenaline-addiction.
  6. Quattroporte, Maserati
  7. Camaro XLR-V or C6 Corvette Z06?
  8. What are the lower "fins" in the bottom of the rear 1/4 panels on 61/62 Cadillacs called? They have a specific name. This was inspired by the Lincoln Navigator thread and esp. Cadavillac's post. Here's some more 1961 Cadillac porno.
  9. I guess it depends on your definition... are we talking a DIC that is located below the main gauges or is the location irrelevant?

    BLS Review

THANK YOU! How's that foot taste guys? Mmmm... italian Loafer. This guy is kind of an asshole in that he's not a fan of big cars and goes out of his way to show it, but he does have some excelelnt points in this review and seems to be fair in his annalysis.
  11. Corvette or Allante is my guess.
  12. Too bad I missed this though my knowledge of 3-cylinder Suzukis is pretty limited
  13. After you woke up & did a little hair-of-the-dog weren't you happy that nightmare was not reality?
  14. Careful what you wish for. Any other takers?
  15. I love this current angry-faced Silverado. I'm certain I will own one someday... even if it is flat black and wiht 6 KC ligths on the roof. Hey, at least you're driveway is 100% GM. I wish I could still say the same but I sold out to Infiniti/Datsun.
  16. I mentioned XP today to my G/F and within about 0.75 seconds a white "Egg" pulled inot the parking lot where we were awaitng our Broker. Creepy.
  17. Yup... I used to shift my Sunbird, Cougar & Achieva once in a while... and those cars allowed for more control of the gear selection than many of these tap/trip/semi-matics
  18. I'd be a very happy camper if Pontiac turned the G6 into a Grand Am. Fly: For a moderator or whatever you sure as hell do not come off as objective. I'm oppinionated as hell but I'm not held to a higher standard either. Why the constant ragging on cars like the Grand Am? $-per-$ and Lbs.-for-Lbs. it was a great car IMHO and I hate most things FWD-auto-only. What's most perplexing to me about this is that You think that having a "1 of 65,606 Galaxy Silver Metallic Bonneville SSEi" is something special. No offense just calling it like I see it.
  19. How about C&G being down a lot recently? Is this just me? About 7 times in the past two weeks Yahoo/Google/910/B-59 were fine but C&G was down for me.
  20. BV: You walked right into that one. Why is it that people on this GM site don't yell "fire" every single time a Pinto is mentioned but they constantly rag on the Fiero?
  21. I hate cars that have no clutch but try to pass themselves off as "best-of-both-worlds" semi-manuals. Weather it's a triptronic Porsche or a GM car like the GP it's always a retarded idea and pretty much useless. In the case of all the cars I've driven the car does whatever it damn well pleases anyway... VW, Audi, DMX.... they all suck. The last one I drove was a VW Jetta turbo and that was okay but still not worth my time. If I want to hit redline so help me god I'll F***ing hit redline. dont;' shift for me and assume I don't know what I'm doing.
  22. The sooner the better btu quality of the product is more important than the speed it cmoes to market. Having said this it sucks that for the second time since 1964 GM was caught with it's pants down as Mustang sales made headlines. Once again Chevy is playing catchup. Better late than never though.
  23. Don't hate... appreciate. Seriously... that's a great use for a Chevette. If I was in a position to keep my truck and invest like $2000 into it I'd throw the Blazer Body in the dumpster and save some poor classic car from the junkyard taht has a rotted out frame & no motor... a Chevette (or '64 Tempest, or '68 Coronet, or '73 Delta 88 or WHATEVER) waiting to be crushed is much better of bolted to a Chevy truck frame than smooshed and melted down to make Tundra frames. Anyway... once again I'm still not hearing from people about what day would be best to meet up at the NY autoshow. I'm probably going to be there Sat. the 15th or Sun the 16th. (April of course)
