  1. No doubt about it the car is totaled. (unless it's like a 2005 with like 6K miles) The IS is the only Lexus I've ever thought was really cool, the late 90s-up GS was alright too but there's something cool about a small inline six powered sedan with tight proportions and a 5/6 speed manual. Hopefully you will not experience and aches and pains in the future from hidden damage to your back/neck. Since this is an enthusiast's website what are you considering as a replacement? CTS? BMW 3? New IS? GTO? Infiniti G35? MB C-class?
  2. cool.... will do BV & Decka! Sopranos will be on in a sec. so I gotta run!!!
  3. *shakes head* Stil can NOT believe you'rte gonna sell that Firehawk. Tht GTO, Jag, even MAserati are all replacable but the Hawk is like a Deusenberg! One of one!!!!
  4. Flying Tigers!
  5. rkmdogs' sig is fresh out da oven, you knaw' how we do it! Fo' real Dawg!
  6. Will do Meng!
  7. If it was up to me I'd make RWD standard... SS models opt. and AWD option available in SS or non-SS/LTZ/LS. (take a look at the Infiniti M35/M35X/M45) THAT's waht it should be except with a small and large disp. V8 available across the board.
  8. Wooopps.. forgot about this thread in the craziness of the past few days. Yes, Skegs is correct. I'll look into some of my books but thus far off the top of my head the origin of the name is a mystery to me.
  9. 1959 Buick (pretty much anything hardto, running & driving will be perfect) Cadillac CTS-V in the next decade the chances of me having one of these bad boys for a daily driver are about as high as the chances that Ted Kennedy will drink too much and grab some young girls a$$. In other words: very likely. Although I'm going to sell my beloved 1968 Camaro so that I can afford a decent '59 Buick at some point in my life I MUST own a 1969 Camaro wiht a nice big-block V8 and 4-speed. It HAS to happen.
  10. Exactly, it's absurd just like Riceboys with their 20" rims, $4000 stereos & 7" wide coffee can exhausts on 1991 Honda Civics. We're just poking fun at this "TIGHT WHIP" mentality that crosses all boundaries, it's all these kids from different parts fo the country, different races and different economic situations trying to make their own ride something one-of-a-kind but going overboard. It's a joke, like I said, not to be taken litteraly. Anyway... here's 04 Monte's sig. & Mute:
  11. Delta Force: My new sig: You do NOT have to be on the East Coast, that's just more of my wannabe-gangsta tongue-in-cheek speak. This si just for fun... not to be taken seriously. Mute and 04monte will be getting sigs. shortly, Rkmdogs: can you post, PM or email me a larger pic? That's one sharp B-body! WMJ: you better have your gat' next time we rollin by in the '77 Cutty (originally a Idaho car) cause we goin pop a cap in you @$$. I got mad skilz wit my A.K.
  12. Awsome! Another "Egg" on C&G. I'm sure XP will give you his blessing. One thing about those cars: Gilrs think they're soooo hot, Ross is always hooking up with some college piece-of-tail as a result of looking like a successful bigshot in that white-diamond Riviera of his. You my friend are automatically a member of the Tight Whips Car Club!
  13. Fly: 1.25 hours is not bad for that. If memory serves me right I think the same job in my Datsun took all of 20 minutes. That's including the BOSCH wires, plugs, rotor, cap, air cleaner & pouring in a small bottle or Restore into my valvecover oil fill. Word to the wise: If your heater-core, blower fan or any related HVACcomponents need to be serviced or replaced you'll probably be paying the dealership to drop the subframe, motor and trans to be able to get access. Now THIS is simplicity! BTW: WMJ... love the sig! Priceless.
  14. Woah! Good to hear that you're okay. I hope you don;t get bummed out for too long. I know it's sad to loose a car that you're emotionaly invested in but a car can always be replaced. Get "well" soon buddy! P.S. pics of the IS?

  16. The Pentagon "crash" has always made me raise and eyebrow and I can absolutely beleive that the wreckage in Shanksville, PA is a result of the Air Force shooting down that plane not the passangers crashing it and I've always had a problem with the way the WTC collapsed as wel or better than a demolition team copuld have planned even thoughnthe planes crashed into one corner of the buildings... this guy might be on to something but just like with JFK the sad reality is we'll never know.
  17. I don't know what to beleive about Sept. 11th anymore.... while this raises more questions than it answers it's makes more sense than Michael Moore's BS "fux-mentary".
  18. Dude... look at the 77 Cutlass & my Datsun. Just send me a pic of your car or several and I'll whip one up for you.
  19. Lucifer
  20. I figured I'd move this discusion here: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...?showtopic=7023 This thread is 15 pages as is.
  21. It started as an inside joke... but now it's in full effect and you better give props, A-ight! So who else wants in on the sickest car club on the East Coast? Small "tasteful" decals will be forthcoming so you can brag to the world about your membership!
  22. I don't "Habla". My first language is Slovakian, when I came to the USA I learned English. If all the other immigrants followed those rules the world would be a much better place.
  23. projectile
  24. That gross A-frame A-pillar looks like something on a Russian WWII era airplane or a cheap plastic toy from the Dollar Store. Gross. The hardtop greenhouse is cool, but you guys knew that was coming.
  25. ehaase: Oh, right.... thanks for the clarification, either way AH-HA will be missed.
