  1. I wish. If a Skoda had been successful in Motorsport, the European & USA markets in this era I might be driving one today.
  2. I was going to say a late 50s Ford Taunus but now I'm confused. Is it related somehow to the Q45 & 810 Maxima?
  3. We'll see. Time will tell. Some of you know it alls waere the same clueless jerks who in the mid-1990s INSISTED that Cadillac would NEVER EVER in a million years go back to primarily RWD. Bold Prediction: By the time my daughter is of drivig age (14-16 years form now) I' m DEAD certain Cadillac will be back to REAL names again. Fu*k thic CTS/DTS/STS/EXT/SRX/XLR stuff. It has no soul. Audi, Acura, Scion and Infiniti have NO real history. They have no storied or treasured names that have been etched into people's subconsious and therefore pussy out to names like xB, xA, tC, RSX, NSX, A4, A6, A8, S6, Q45, QX4, G35.... at least a few like "TT" have meaning. Names are names, they MEAN something. Even the $h!ty ones like Cavalier, Cobalt, Corsica and Chevette still sound better than G6, RDX, A8 or whatevcer... esp. when some executive tries to sell some snakeoil bull$h! about how CTS stands for C-series Touring Sedan... but irronically it repalaced the Catera. I honestly think you guys are trying to convince yourselves and not me.
  4. Scratch Dr. Pepper or Coca~Cola?
  5. Not a far cry form the Del-Soul-less but NOT European. Suzuki is still a Japanese company last time I checked.
  6. Nope... nice try though. Wrong decade, wrong manufacturer.
  7. Maybe I should have clarfied... I think owning a Northstar is expensive enough even with the 300 horsepower and a smooth V8... having 3/4 of that power and smoothness in a package that's about 9/10 as expensive to maintain is not worht it IMHO. I'd rather have the 3800 if I can't afford a V8. I'm not a big fan if V6s in general. Much prefer an Inline-6 over a V6. The 3800 though is a special engine indeed.
  8. See.... exactly!!! The fact that when you think of "B" names in relationship to Cadillac you think of Biaritz and Brougham is a perfect example of why the name BLS makes no damn sense for a $h!ty little FWDer. and I think you guys are wrong about this whole C/S/D series thing. That's bull$h! and pretty much can not be verified. In any case to millions of Cadillac fans DTS will always be a Deville etc., plain & simple.

  10. Guess what make/model/year had all these features from the factory? - Turbocharged motor - Front spoiler & bumper delete - 0-62mph in 6.9 sec. - Halogenlights & four-chamber rectangular rear lilghts - Static Safety Belts - Wheel Flairs - Crush Zones front & rear - Front disk brakes, rear drums - "Functional, realistic yet sporty" styling
  11. Lost a 76? Do tell.
  12. Well... I'd hope the 300 series cars would be allowed to live past 26 years... or 25 if you disregard the "Oh" so it's not a 300O.
  13. Not a big fan of the shortstar. This is a big heavy car... should be pushed not pulled and it needs at least the 4.0L No* either way. All these Auroras are is the next-gen. LSS that got rebadged last minute when the 2nd gen. Aurora was canned when Buick decided the Rivirea was going to sleep wiht the fishes.
  14. Right off the Chevy website.
  15. I dropped it, why can't you? Nice moderating. Olbsmoboi: S-series? No Actaully it was "Seville Touring Sedan" & "Seville Luxury Sedan". I own one. ETC is and always will be "Eldorado Touring Coupe". Otehr wise wouldn't a EXT be an E-series too like the Eldo? The reasons you gave make as much sense as why Hyundai named thier $27K Rolls Royce a XG350. B-series? C'mon that's retarded. BLS is just lame and weak. Even Series-62 was better than that.
  16. Yes, and it's only gotten worse since I've become a dad and my relationship with my girlfriend has gotten way above and beyond the simplicity of just the two of us. Having a baby changes everything, you HAVE to be a little more versatile in your thinking. Living for today is no longer acceptable.
  17. They killed the Zxx in 2003.... the Z/28 was the first designation that was actaully known by the general public, sure there was a Z06 in 1963 but that was not a commonly udes term by even Corvette guys. So in other words without a Z28, what's the point of Z24 or whatever.
  18. Voted 1960s but 1970s are a close favorite. Even though I'm just about to turn 27, like with everything else in my life I've got the taste of a 53 year old Baby Boomer.
  19. 1970 LS6 Chevelle... (454)
  20. The only thing I have to add to this thread is that my beloved but soon to be sold 1968 Camaro was bought, daily driven & drag raced just outside of Bakersfield from the fall of 1967 to about 1987. I have a few photos... (gotta yank them off the old hard drive) of the car wearing it's red, then black then blue paint out there in Bakersfield Calif.
  21. BV: Take two rides on your ATV wiht the lights off and email us in the morning. All joking aside this was BVs idea originally. But don;t you know immitation isd the most sincere form of flattery?
  22. Nope, I did that.... fugured where you go by just "Camino" you wouldnt care if I eliminated some unnecessary width. I'd love to T-bone a few Civics with a beat up old ElCamino with cop-car pushbars on the front. Minimal damage to the Chevy... unibody torn in half on the Japanese Sardine can. That would be so satisfying. Remember that Caprice vs. Accord stunt Jay Leno setup? God that warmed my heart!
  23. Shredder
  24. Again I ask.... why BLS? Who came up with this stupid name?
  25. Wow...very cool. I love manual equiped. classics, esp. if the manual is rare compard to like 99% of production being automatic.
