Remember last year when I made that Terminator joke regarding the Pontiac T1000?
-
Yes, the stroller is on the stone wall. As far as the Crown Vic. a buddy was going to junk it because he had problems getting it started... so I did a tune up, the car ran fine and sold it for him for $400 off my front lawn.... of was it $500? Either way he did the right thing and hooked me up wit a nice commission. Great guy.

GM1: The sedan would be perfect in the navy blue color of the wagon. She's into dark colors (thought it's not a must) and has some strange bias against any wagons except ofr the Magnum. BTW: We're still trying to buy a house which is why a Charger is out of the equasion for now... besides the Camaro will be out soon enought and I'll be buying THAT new.
-
See that's exactly what I'm talking about... and yet Chevy is still not making strides to repace this car... F*** that car probably cost less than $27 NEW! We need a B-body rreplacement! Do we have to keep ??? Anyway back on topic, a dealer up in Plaistow, NH had a nice clean 330xi but it was too much money and an automatic to boot. I'll settle for a autopmatic B-body because I don;t have a choice but both me and Marcia prefer sticks and so if we're buying a BMW it will not be an automatic. Call me a weirdo butbuying the Ultimate Driving Machine and lettig it decide when and how to shift is backwards. Decka: Althogh she thinks it's a bit small I think a 3-series would be a great car for Marcia. If that car was in the New England area instead of Texas I'd be seriously considerign it. (untill she'd start bitching about the ugly rims and green paint ) PurdueGuy: Absolutley... I'd love to find a GM car that would work! If the RWD STS had come out in like 2000 ther're be NO question of what to get. Empowah's got the right idea with that 5-series I think. Mean time I'd be happy with a gently used Police Interceptor or even just a black Crown Vic but she will not go for it. Too much fo a bias against Ford. Damnit I trained her too well.

If GM is still developing another FWD compatible V8 then all hope is lost! V8s and FWD should be mutually exclusive. Don't make me come bust up yo place fools!

True, it's no Ribwich, that's for damn sure!

Isn't that pretty much waht I said? :AH-HA_wink:

Okay, I'm going to be corny and unoriginal by posting the same kind of thread that Camino did a while back. Basically this is you opportunity to influence what I buy when I trade in 1997 Cadillac STS. Before we start here's a few ground rules: RWD is pretty much a must, that's the only thing that is not negotiable. Rear-biased AWD however is okay. A FWD car would have to be extremely unique/original/rare to even be considered. You guys know I'm RWD obsessed, let's not get into semantics. Other than Lexus I will consider any RWD Car... and for the right price a GS might, I said MIGHT be tempting. A V8 is not a must but a pushrod V8 or inline-six would be prefered, esp. for low maintenace & ease of access. Four doors strongly prefered. Marcia has a very badly damaged disk in her back so the ease of getting the baby in/out of the car seat is a big part of this purchase decision. And of course in case of an accident it's much easier to get Sofia out of the car if it has four doors... I'm not paranoid, just realistic. Sporty yet Elegant This is her term not mine. Marcia is pretty picky and it's kind of hard to outdue a 1997 STS while not spending more than say $15000 on a used car. Granted I bought the STS for $7900 with 100K, but this time I'd like to go for less miles if possible. So here's the breakdown so far: Park Ave Ultra I love these cars, it's one of only a few FWD cars I would even consider. The rear seat access is superb and the car gives a exceptionaly comfortable ride. Still very elegant and she can "impress" her clients with her luxurious, practical & economical Buick. Not a bad image for an accountant if you ask me. The problem? She says it's way too Grandma-ish for her. This same exact argument applies to the Buick Roadmonster. Caprice Classic 9C1 or an Impala SS This would be a win-win situation. I get a car I can work on and would be proud to own and the G/F still has all her needs met as well. The problem? I'm having dificulty finding a clean one with relatively low mies I can finance Last Gen. Fleetwood Brougham Another future classic, a fantastic looking car and it's the best of both worlds, modern, luxuirios, safe but still old school & BOF with a great pushrod motor. What says she? Styling is too conservative and it lacks any sporty-ness to it. *sigh* I'm trying to find a happy medium, a 1990s BMW 5-series... or perhaps a clean E-class Benz or if I can find a cheap Impala SS would fit the bill perfectly. You guys have any suggestions?

The USA market 810 Maxima is nothing more than a 910 Bluebird with a longer nose. They wanted inline-six power for the Datsun 810/Maxima so they threw out the four banger and stretched the nose/front clip and shoe-horned the 240Z's six cylinder into it. Perhaps now my sig. text will make sense.

10.5 @ 115mph does not make sense.... someone's been pulling your leg. 12.5 at 115 or 10.5 at 140 would be more realistic. If it is turbocharged it definately is not stock. Stock means factory spec. A turbocharger on a 1995 Camaro is abotu as far from Stock as youy can get. The 350hp/424trq also seems strange. That car should put out like 285/300 stock so for the torque figure to go up that much it'd have to have some weird TPI style torque-friendly intake, not very logical. Let's see some photos and tell us what kind fo Turbo you have... does it have any paperwork? Perhaps a manufacturer's name & serial number on the Turbo?

I hope they also make a "Presidential BiCentenial Anniversary Brougham Royale" edition!

Yesterday at around 2pm I helped to destroy a Honda. Wait, hear me out. I was driving the Datsun and caught this stupid red light that is pretty much useless becasue it should just be a blinking light IMO. It always stays red for like 3 minutes even though 15 sec. would be sufficient for the ONE car that is waiting to merge onto Rt.113. Anyway I slow down at the light and leave my car in Neutral since god knows how long I'd have to hold the clutch otherwise. All of a sudden this loud fart-can equiped nasty, refrigerator white 1990-93 Honda Accord pulls up next to me. He revs his motor for a sec and gives me "the look". So I'm like, sure I'm game... why not. I hold my stare at the lights waiting to see the yellow reflection in the side fo the adjacent lights. Light turns green & I'm off. I have him by almost a car length as we dance back & forth wiht each shift. Then I notice when I go into 4th at like 60mph he doesn't shift... the Honda is screaming for mercy and just as his bumper aligns itself with mine a really gut wreching pop slows him down and he's in my rear view seconds later with a huge cloud of nasty white-blue-gray smoke eminating from his exhaust & undercarrige like it's a shot up Mitsubishi Zero falling form the sky. He was a big kid, looked to be like 6' 2" and the look of disgust in his face as his Honda exploded was priceless. I gave him a thumbs up and smiled. I'm such a prick sometimes. I'm sorry but there's only one Smiley that will do:

eh, mistakes happen... no biggie.

Yet another example of why Mitsubi$h! should be pioneering car technology and pretty mcuh be a supplier but maybe not a car manufacturer since they suck at a lot of cars.

Yes, any race where the driver upstages the car is not motorsport anymore. I think European Rally Racing, Classic Trans Am & the 24 Hours of LeMans will always be my favorite three forms of motorsport to watch. But I'd still rather be SCCA racing my Datsun, Drag racing my Camaro or enduro-crashing my Volvo demolition derby car than sit in front of a TV.

Threads like this make me sick to my stomach. Amd the more I read the more I want to grab a proverbial pillow and suffocate Saturn. Ever heard of the expression "Quit while you're behind"?

Choppin' Competition 14 - Chevrolet Camaro Concept
Sixty8panther replied to Northstar's topic in Choppin' Competitions
Okay, here it is as promissed: In a perfect world (I know this will not happen) the Camaro owuld hit the streets fall of this year, say Sept. 29th  There would be much hoop-la about the 40th Anniversary. The 2007 and 2008 models would be exactly like the concept... but in the mean time for MY2009 a minor refresh (as depicted by me) would give the 5.1 gen an even more 1969-like face and fenders. Here's what I changed: (top to bottom) * eliminated double-bubble roof * deleted the ram-air style scoop, it's redundant w/ the cowl induction since air is taken in at the base of the winshield * changed the bowtie from gold to blue, it's a car not truck! * moved the headlights inboard like on the 1969 Camaros * removed the blinkers from inside the grille wraparound header panel * deleted high mounted side marker light * replaced fat round wheel arches wiht horizontal "speed lines" ala '69 * cut down the height of the "air intake" behind the door, functional brake cooling ducts like on the Z06 * inboard blinkers that hang low in the front fascia just like on a '69 * added blinker/foglight cluster low in the corner of the bumper cover * grahite-onyx rims -

Hello Wilde, welcome! I'll have my chop done shortly... I just started last night & am almost half done. -
Saranghetti (sp?) Simpsons flash back: "Your box made promisses of a vacaional nature... I want to do everything pictured here... Box with Mohamed Ali, shoot a lion in the face & ride in the back of a convertible with two happy Zebras!" God I love that episode, even the very last sentance is hillarious: "Ha-ha-har! Now he's just a stinking flight attendant!"

You all win the pleasure of my annoying presance here on C&G.... Thanks for playing.

Dsuupr: Perhaps, I think this is the official ride of Dr. Cheesy. (not an actual PhD)
