  1. Other than the Star-Wars shifter I say change NOTHING!!!! I love the interior but would end up with some sort of custom shift-knob. I can never leave a stock shifter on my car. The other day I took off the Datsun's 8-ball shifter I had put on immediately after I bought it and I installed a funky riced-out one as a joke. Now my Chevy Truck has an 8-ball transfer case shifter in place of the stock ugly one. Getting back on topic I'd leave the interior exaqctly as is. Like I said before it's one of the nicest interioirs of all time! When I buy one I hope it looks as close as possible ot this. An American Grafitty style Piston shifter or perhaps a skull head like on my Camaro and I'd leave it the F*** alone.
  2. generous
  3. that's some funny $h!!
  4. Ocnblu: obviously as oppposed to this: Crispey: Congradulations! I too like the color and you got a great deal on a 4th gen. It'll make a nice tradein like 3 years from now.
  5. The CTS is definately A 3-series in size (and in price) it's got exteriro dimmensions equivelant ot a new 3-series sedan. I'm 99% sure (even thouhg I've never compared numbers) that thee STS &0 5-series are within 03% of eachother sizewise. I've driven both ad stood next to each.
  6. Gorgeous dogs, really beautiful. I've got to look into the Grayhound ex-raceer adoption league, otherwise Marcia will drag home some yippy dog someday. With three cats in a pretty small house it's more than enough pets for me but she HAS to have a dog. (guess who will end up walking it??? )
  7. BBL: Just some heartfelt advice: I've always found it easier to compromise the age/milage of a car for the sake of affordability versus the "quality" of the car. In other words a new hyundai is still just a Hyundai, new or not. But a ten year old Cadillac is still something kind of special, and waqs very special at some point. Not sure if I'm explaining my annalogy but thank GOD I did not bite the bullet a few years back and buy that Cavalier LS. It was yellow and 5-speed but still, too much money even brand new for a fwd car. Instead I got a 104,000 mile Blazer S10 with a 5-speed and was very happy. Just my :twocents:
  8. It's RWD It's muscular It's sexy It's beautiful It's an instant classic It's modern It's got a killer V8 It's got IRS It's a true hardtop It's going to be afffordable It's got an amazing interior and best of all it's a Camaro. Damnit I can't wait to see this thing rolling off assembly lines!

  11. Where did you hear twenty-10?
  12. Still, when in a few occasions the Camaro of F/TA had fake scoops they were not ridicilously large and grotesquely unaerodynamic like the huge air brake scoop on the last gen Mustang GT. I mean look at this thing... seriously it's got to set the car back like 0.4 in drag coeficient.
  13. Turbo, that sounds creepy.
  14. Mmmmm.... Forbiden Donut!
  15. I'm a pretty skinny kid and could easily fit into a CRX or a classic Mini Cooper, even though the S2000 made me feel super crapmped. I like my Datsun's tight proportions for driving fun factor... small cars can be a lot of fun. That having been said, there's always a greater desire for me to drive a HUGE car. Something so damn big that it makes the "big" black sedans I saw the Communists driving around in as a kid seem like economy cars. I thought my Fleetwood Brougham was the perfect size for hauling around me, Marcia, Sofia & I could still have most of my tools in the trunk at all times. :) Last night when I took the Truck to Wendy's at like 11:30pm the roads were empty for some reason... I drove across the bridge into Lowell, lined up the Chevy hood ornament with the doulbe yellow and floored it. So much fun driving an obnoxiously huge truck like that and takign up 100% fo the road. My eventual '59 Buick will take care of my appetite for longer, lower, wider Chrome-encrusted land yachts.
  16. Toni: Give it AWD and it would make for one hell of a sports hatch... If there was a cheap but classy hatchback like this on the market I could afford brand new and it had a true Hardtop bodystyle I'd seriously consider it. This thing has awome styling, that combined with all the windows rolled down, a good manual trans & would be enough to win me over... This makes a Civic look like @$$hole. They need to slap a Saturn badge on this sucker and call it a day... don't mess with the design.
  17. That's the beauty of C&G, we go on tangents about T-tops, the 1980s, and forgetable Mopars. I'm loving the Mr.T smiley. Now listen Sucka, I pity the fool who don't stay in school. Reg: There is one very interesting use for T-tops, thouhg personally I never had a chance to try out this feature on my '83 Firebird. You know it involves "driving" your girlfriend with the tops off and her on top, yet there is no gas being burned. Hudson: Hold on to that yellow Shadow, look at all these Hemi cudas going for $200,000-$1mill. these days, perhaps some day your Shadow will be worth $200,000. You know like after inflation, when a Big Mac costs $40,000.
  18. The Civic is listed three times because of a couple low-volume (relatively) editions? WTF? Let's make a list of the most innovative trucks and give GM the top 7 spots: Silverado, Sierra, Avalanche, Escalade EXT, SSR, Canyon & Colorado.

  21. Hey NOS you all set wiht the knife or would you like some salt too?
  22. Sue me for if you have to but this thing should be a hardtop! Seriously look at the profile, it would be very sexy wiht all four windows down and a non-existant B-pillar.
  23. "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" As a teen wiht typical societal/sexual/school angst I often relaxed to this album and just drifted off to a better place. To this day the sound of the water in with that symphonic melody puts me in a very meloncholie mood. It's deep, dark, mysterios and yet inviting. Other albums by P.F. - A Collection of Great Dance songs - The Division Bell - Umagumma - The Piper at teh Gates Of Dawn - Final Cut
  24. Given the situation you described Camino, I'd be out there wiht a Shotgun & or Riffle every other weekend.
  25. I remember back in the early-to mid 90s when BMW was running X5-mechanical prototypes that were nothing more than old-style 5-series wagons on top of waht looked like K5 Blazer frames. That swooping-yet-chunky rear quarter panel makes me think '99 Charger concept-meets-Celica.
