  1. I like it. Coool! LEt the Holiday Pissing Contrest begin. :)
  2. Which models did you feel were over ratede safety wise? I know that like any other advertisement liberal use of exageration for effect is used but I think the old school Volvos were decent cars for the money. MIddle class people could afford a mid size 240, now these days Volvo sells over glorified Fords and charges a fortune. (again I'm generalising)
  3. If I find the time I'd love to. :)
  4. Fly... Which one of us was a car salesman for four years? I forget. :P NO one wanted a stick in a Grand National, or a Catera??? Are you joking!? Seriously, YES people did complain about lack of manual trans availability in those cars/trucks. Wait til Camino is back on C&G (or ask Black And Blue) he'll tell you about the time he ordered a Tahoe 2dr. BTW: please tell me what cars DID have a stick those years? Metro, Cavalier, Camaro & Corvette... that's about the only ones. TYes theere were otehrs but asshole salesman who are too lazy to ORDER a car discouraged it or lied abotu the existance of a manual trans option in vehicles like a Beretta, Blazer S10 or Silverado.
  5. DRLs save lives. 99/100 I have my lights on, even at high noon I have my parking lamps on. Visability is always a good thing. I F***ING hate it when some prick in a beinge Accord or a Silver Taurus has no lights on in the middle of a massive rain storm. Peole are so dense that DRLs are kind of a must. I once had some retarded coustomer tell me DRLs suck. You know why? They make the alternator kick in more often which in turn hurts fuel economy. So in othr words he'd rather die then increase his yearly fuel comsumption by 0.75 gallons. I just wanted to bitch slap that retard. I'm sure he's driving a Prius right now ta;lking about how he's single handedly saving the effin planet. (sorry I'm in a bad mood tonight)
  6. I second that.
  7. Which was.....???
  8. Hiiiii there Brian, I was going to ask you go ahead and stop complaining about RV, M-kay? Yeah... that'd be great.
  9. That Split Window Cop car is making me salvinate.
  10. Pesci: Hey Ma, can I borrow a Butcher knife... we hit one of them things with ther antlers... wadayacall 'em?! ummmm.... DEER, yeah and we got one of the Hoofs stuck in the grille.
  11. Thanks GM-1. Drop that Electra down a few inches and put on Thirteens and you've got yourself a J-LO-Rider!
  12. Ha ha! That's next on the OnDemand que for me. I love my original Firethorn Red Coupe DeVille and could never repaint it since it's came that way from the factory and is rare in and of itself, but I will say that the copper-metallic Coupe Deville Ray Leota has in that movie is one of the most Bitchin Movie Car Caddys ever made. Holland's junkyard had a car exactly like it (except for the continental kit) and even though the car was 95% intact and there was no body damage on it they crushed it. I was so pissed about that I was spitting nails.
  13. Well, it IS true, back in those days before Ford came along Volvo was in the forefront of Safety.
  14. And who could forget...
  15. My problem is I have too damn many. I have had at least a hundred since I came on this site.... smoe of them are just in passing for a day or tow and others stay of a week or more. Here's some that I made anad have not even used yet. And yes, some are meant in jest.
  16. Yup, that Vega looks sick!!! And I want to se photos of the Avanti. I have only sen two Avantis in the last 2 years. On my way to deliver the Fleetwood Brougham I saw a '63 Avanti in dark red in a supermarket parking lot, I swung a U-ie to take a picture but I was too late it drove off as I pulled into the parking lot. This is the crazy part... the lady driving it looked like the Lady From PAsadena in the Mopar ads. No joke, she was like 70 and had a fancy hat!
  17. Did someone say MOJO? Oh Behave!
  18. I though about that myself. Even at 0-55 6.7 sec. is pretty good.
  19. Whoa ther big guy, don't let the Government get wind of that. You'll end up wiht no patent and in the slammer. :P
  20. Call me a skeptic but I doubt Honda actually over enginered the chassis/suspension/transmission/engine on this vehicle. I'd love to see some dumb prick tear a Ridgeline right in half trying to tow an Airstream uphill in Colorado.
  21. Yup, this will most likely be a really silly na seemingly insignificant component. Ignition Module, Rotor & cap... something obvious like that. Ground wire? Fuel Pump?
  22. NO, no the best line in the Bandit is this: "There is NO way you could have come from my loins, the first thing I'm going to do when I get home is punch your Mama in the mouth!" You have to keep in mind to us that sounds rough but in 1977 beating your wife was still P.C.
  23. Razor:  You seem to lack that filter between the brain and mouth. I have the same problem sometimes. It's fun to jus tell people exactly how it is sometimes. On rare occasson when I do it feels so damn good.
  24. As far as the coolest Musclecar of all time: 1969 Camaro, this HAS become a reality. It's not GM selling them however, it's the aftermarket. http://superchevy.com/technical/paint_body...ls/0506sc_cars/ Someday I will have a 1969 Camaro, for now it's on to a 1959 Buick hardtop.
  25. damnit... sorry guys, stupid tripod is being a Deuchebag... copy and past inot browser. http://members.tripod.com/~stuartre/740.GIF
