  1. When I use the cell phone in the car, I immediately put it on speaker and leave it in the interior door pull, which doubles as a conveniently-sized cubbie hole for the phone.l When I need to dial out, the most important people I need to talk to are on single-digit speed dial. Hold down button, make phone call, switch to speaker mode, put in door pull. Hands free driving = responsible driving. Now try telling me that when I'm on a road trip and want to eat a sandwich on the go.
  2. My answer to the question posed by the thread title: SUVs ate them. SUVs are natural predators of the six-seat sedan. This is why they have become rare. The only remnants are the Crown Vic Trio, because they are extremely abundant and reproduce like rabbits, and the G/W body benches, which optionally install a center console to confuse seat-hungry Tahoes and Sequoias.
  3. As long as they continue to list the Corvette, I won't complain.
  4. And yet, women aspire to look like that. And men aspire to have women that look like that. No one can handle imperfections. This is an imperfect world we live in. Get used to it. Unless you'd rather spraypaint your face every morning.
  5. Notice the top 2 are the only 4-door models in the comparison. Given the abstract that Variance posted, I can understand why.
  6. You state the above like it's fact. How do you know this is the case? Because someone told you it is? I can't speak for Islam as I have never read the Qur'an. But I can tell you now that the teachings of Christianity absolutely do NOT condone violence. Anyone who believes otherwise is either warping the scriptures or is reacting to hearsay. And anyone who commits violence in the name of Christianity is a sinner.
  7. Another DT performance. This is from their 20th anniversary performance. For this show, they hired an orchestra to help em out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNp4tMcpM10...related&search=
  8. There's always a way around that, though. I guess disabling right-click makes it a little bit harder, but I could just as easily (1) capture the screen, or (2) view the source and grab the image URL, or (3) click and drag the image to where I want to save it. To prevent #3, you can overlay the image with a blank translucent image. I'm not sure how to prevent #2, but I believe it's possible. And there's no way around #1 that I know of.
  9. Alternate version: Various changes were made since the last post.
  10. Yeah, pretty much. From this point on it comes down to Toyota vs GM for the top spot.
  11. There goes that "best-ever" again. Seems we can't get enough Toyota in this country.
  12. This thing's got more wood than a strip club. And yes, that interior needs more chrome accents. Perhaps between the wood trim and the dashboard. And around the door switchgear. Better yet, make that switchgear sill plate out of wood. And THEN accent it with chrome.
  13. It looks good from the back. Other angles are not so impressive.
  14. Well now you have my attention.Think you can take a pic for us?
  15. In overall length, it's more than twice the size.I dunno, maybe it's the proportions of the vehicle that are throwing me off.
  16. And now it's raining like a sea of Toyotas entering a metropolis.
  17. I wonder why they didn't keep those supa-bling rims...
  18. *Played out joke of the day* Say, is that the new Challenger or the 1970's model? <.<
  19. Case in point: Lexus doesn't even need C&D to boost sales.
  20. Agreed. Engines will evolve enough that these hoses will gradually disappear. It seems as though the unibody vehicles are doing much better these days when it comes to towing. Unless the Touraeg is BOF. Then I am mistaken. The designers want pillarless hardtops. The engineers think the designers are nuts. Show me a single vehicle missing a B pillar that has at least an average side impact rating. Saturn ION Quad Coupe, Mazda RX-8, Honda Element...Then again, convertibles fall into this category, also. I suppose I'll have to agree on this point.
  21. *Obvious thought of the day* Cadillac ought to build a car that competes in this price & size category.
  22. I love the car, but I'm more impressed by the photo quality. Welcome to C&G!
  23. Well, it's not a Clown Car, and that disappoints me. Good luck, anyway.
  24. That MINI isn't very mini at all.
  25. No snow here yet. We had rain all morning, but it let up a few moments ago.
