  1. I remember that chop... That was your first post!? I thought you had been around before me.
  2. The Associated Press reports that to kick off his retirement, Barker said he will "sit down for maybe a couple of weeks and find out what it feels like to be bored." Crap, he might die of boredom if he does that!
  3. Does it have something to do with the way the transmission is mounted?
  4. In case you weren't previously aware, that's a chop by !!!TED!!! based on a spied and camoflaged Malibu. Actually if I remember correctly, the first two pics I saw on C&G were the Malibu WITH camo and a chopped 2004 Grand Prix by Ted.
  5. 2007 Outlander? Not too shabby.
  6. So it appears that the future of Chevrolet design will consist of what, in essence, is an oversized hood scoop as the top part of the grille. It needs a bit more polish before being released as anything. Otherwise we might wind up with another 2004 Malibu.
  7. Gettin' it on
  8. Don't post that! It's a CD/BP exclusive snapped during cold weather testing!!
  9. It seems those headlights are the only thing keeping this car from looking ten years older than it is.
  10. To me the sedan is anything but sporty. But it'll sell, and blend right into the crowd.
  11. Dear Car & Driver: Don't knock on the EXT's fundamental concept until you acknowledge the following: 1. Lincoln came up with the idea first (Blackwood). 2. Cadillac's execution is far better (in both generations).
  12. November 19, 2002: I remember first coming to the site when that picture of the Malibu was up. I have another screenshot for ya. This was the first (and only) time one of my concept designs was featured on C&G. It also has a link to a two-year 9/11 memorial, suggesting I snapped this shot around September 2003.
  13. I should have made myself more clear. According to the brochure, the 81 Seville had an optional 4.1L V6. However, the 1984 catalog shows the 4100 V8 with "Digital Fuel Injection". This is the engine my [father in-law's] Seville has. I award you bonus points for the V6 anecdote, though.
  14. It's not fair to the manufacturers to exclude cars from a comparison. Granted the Cobalt probably would have gotten in right between the Corolla and Elantra, knowing car mags... Then again, why do I give them that much credit?
  15. I'm looking at the 1981 full line-up catalog, particularly at the 1981 Seville with the V8-6-4. Though if the brochure is accurate, methinks the 4.1 in my old Seville was a V6. ...No, I take that back. It's a different 4.1.
  16. Find some stuff that you don't want/need/use anymore and try to auction it off.
  17. I'm sorry, I can't get myself to really appreciate this car. I see a long rectangular box with a windshield sticking out of it.
  18. I think the information is transmitted to the OnStar service in the event of a crash, to help determine the severity.
  19. Hey.... It's the Corolla Solara.
  20. Remember, children: Don't do anything stupid. I should move my car somewhere safe, because I don't have a shotgun to defend it with...
  21. Indeed, it is. I wonder what that emblem is supposed to be. The car looks nasty in the generic SEMA pic, but looks much better on the platform next to Welburn and Leno. A shame it's not street legal, though. At least it doesn't appear to be.
  22. I'm amused I'm in the minority here. Coffee. Regular coffee with milk and sugar, or with a sweetened creamer (International Delight, Coffee Mate).
  23. Here's an oldie I heard from the late great Redd Foxx. What's the difference between a pickpocket and a peeping tom? A pickpocket snatches watches.
  24. Notice something different about the hood? :AH-HA_wink: I think the coloring of the headlight casings is by design...
