  1. Just as different engines and transmissions can be swapped in and out of older cars, so too can different computer components be swapped in and out of modern cars. Just as long as there is a market for it.
  2. I would have said take back the Seville from my father-in-law and completely restore it to factory spec, if the KBB wasn't four HUNDRED dollars... Edit: I was going to try to verify the number, but KBB doesn't go back to 1985 anymore.
  3. That photo is so awesome that I had to quote it.
  4. Pretty nice. The dance has to be motion-captured sequences preprogrammed into the robot. Other skeptical questions arise, such as: how would the robot treat a different sized rollerskating platform? Can the robot pick things up in addition to throwing them? And how would the robot react to a genuine fall, rather than a preprogrammed best-case-scenario collapse?
  5. SVU
  6. In response to that video: Way to blame Christianity for all of life's problems. And group Republicans together with Nazis and the KKK.
  7. Looks like the Nagare concept, kinda.
  8. As with any other Kia, not an enthusiast's car by any stretch of the imagination. Front end is bland. Rear end is odd. Interior is meh.
  9. I believe the UAW is at least in a better position than the NYC Transit Union. If they deem it necessary, the UAW can strike to have motor companies meet their demands. The Transit Union tried that somewhat recently. The only thing they got out of it was millions of dollars in fines.
  10. So how much horsepower and/or fuel economy does that add?
  11. nonetheless, I associate the word with alcohol... Wino
  12. They need to make his screen more durable if he's gonna fall down stairs like this often...
  13. How does a man make love to a woman if he has no sexual feelings for her? I don't mean to judge, but if he had to think of someone else to make love to his wife, that's adultery. The acts he committed with other men are also adultery, as they were committed during his marriage. The subject of sexuality in this case only distorts the fundamental reasons why this man had to resign. He committed grave sins in a position where he had to serve as a role model. I know that he seeks forgiveness for what he did, and God will forgive him, even if everyone else won't.
  14. Okay, I did the math... Volvo S4 + Mazda 6 + Lexus IS + Acura TL / 4 ---------- 08 Lancer
  15. That quote continues with "my car!", but you did that on purpose right? 219768[/snapback] It was more of a surprise reaction, but that is where I pulled the quote from, yes.
  16. On one hand, that's one less Wii and one less PS3 under the tree this year. On the other hand, production for both systems will either pick up, or demand will slow down, once the holiday season is over.
  17. Just over a year. My dad has owned his 1972 Chevy Van for about 18 years. I believe he bought it around 1989. I don't think he's kept ANY vehicle around for quite as long as that.
  18. That's a pretty cool picture, regardless of circumstance. At least one out of every three trucks is red. I won't even try to pretend I understand the logic behind the events explained in the article.
  19. Perhaps it will look more like Flybrian's article photo.
  20. I'm going to disregard the "Big Four" comment... Aren't all hybrids currently unprofitable?
  21. Wow... They look almost exactly the same.
  22. 50th Anniversary Corvette, to be specific. I'd prefer stuff built in the past 15 or so years. Maybe a mid-90s Impala SS. Or an Oldsmobile Aurora. Or a Cadillac Allante.
  23. Think the guy can make the yellow treads more yellow without losing the pavement texture?
  24. Ah, nuts. What did you decide to go with?
  25. It sports a Maybach badge. I guess it's not a concept, then. From the thumbnails I thought it was some sort of Lincoln concept because of the weird waterfall grille with what looked like a Lincoln emblem on it.
