    • Windows 11 has pro's and Con's but then what version of windows did not. Overall, I have NOT seen any possessive or restrictive issues with what you can do with Windows 11. Now one thing to be aware is that 11 does have more hardware requirements, so it is possible that if you try to update your current Win10 setup, it could come back and say I cannot until you get a compatible CPU or Graphics card, etc. I would double check your system against the requirements, does not make any sense to spend hours attempting to upgrade if your system will not truly support it. Windows 11 Specs and System Requirements | Microsoft Windows I have a Maxed out with SSD drives Lenovo Laptop that is fast and rocks but does not pass the hardware check so it cannot upgrade to Win11, so it will stay at Win10 since it works just fine.  Ignore the threats about everything as it is Microsoft's attempt to get you to spend money on hardware and new Win11 when you really do not have too.
    • WIndows 11 ... Now that I have (your, someone's) attention, I have a question or two. I'm still running Windows 10 and it has been great.  I can speak for my laptop, but haven't used my HP tower in a good while.  Support for Windows 10 goes away in mid-October of this year. I have held back on converting because, first and foremost, I heard it is a lot more possessive and restrictive of what you can do with it ... by that, I mean it pushes you into more proprietary sites and options rather than letting you choose.  It's bossy, in a way.* To me, that sounds like a bad thing more than a good thing. The other is that it needs 40GB of RAM free at the moment to do the installation.  I'm going to have to make some room. Can I get some input (in wording better suited for a general user) on the concerns voiced in the last 2 paragraphs?   Thank you. * I'm not the sort of person to be "whipped," so that would be a problem ... LOL

    • I cannot find the info at this time, but there was statements from Ford about following GM in moving to Android Auto based system with not allowing AA/CP to be usable. (20) All Carmakers Might Eventually Try to Kill Off Android Auto and CarPlay - autoevolution Reddit had plenty of places people discussed this and questioned it. But then as folks started to backlash against GM, Ford changed their Tune and the CEO said they would keep it for all their auto's moving forward. Now Ford says it's keeping Android Auto and CarPlay due to safety Ford CEO Commits To Keeping Apple CarPlay And Android Auto, Says It Keeps Drivers Focused (Update) Ford CEO Says Apple CarPlay And Android Auto Staying In Cars Found the Original Google/Ford announcement that they would incorporate using the Android Auto system and why they do not say they will not support AA/CP, they also do not state that they will, but like GM implied a better end user experience. Ford and Google to Accelerate Auto Innovation I think this is what started to scare folks that Ford was going to follow GM. I know they said they were exploring and looking to secure their customers data within Ford rather than out to Google.
    • Ford never said they were axing AA/CP, unless I missed something. Have a link to that? 100%. I won't even consider buying w/o it.
