Order Guide Reveals 2018 Equinox Diesel To Start At $31,435

  • Interested in the diesel Equinox? How much will it set you back?

Later this year, you'll be able to pick up a Chevrolet Equinox with a 1.6L turbodiesel engine that promises an estimated 40 mpg on the highway. What hasn't been revealed is how much the diesel will set you back. But the folks at CarsDirect have uncovered it.

The diesel option will $31,435 for the LT andĀ $33,930 for the Premier. All-wheel drive adds $1,750 to the base prices.

What do you get for the money? The LT comes with 17-inch wheels, cloth seats, a 7-inch touchscreen with Chevrolet MyLink, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and rear park assist. The Premier adds 18-inch wheels, leather seats, 8-inch touchscreen, and dual-zone climate control.Ā 

For options, the LT can be equipped with theĀ Sun and Infotainment Package that adds the 8-inch screen and a sunroof. The Premier gets theĀ Sun, Sound and Navigation Package which as the name suggests nabs you navigation, Bose audio system, and navigation. There is also theĀ Confidence and Convenience Package II for the PremierĀ that bringsĀ forward collision alert with low-speed automatic braking, lane-keeping assist, 360-degree camera system, and more.

Interesting...so is going to be the only compact diesel CUV on the US market currently? Ā Can't think of any others..

Interesting, other than the Diesel option, the Buick Envision would be a better buy.

Mazda has the CX-5 Diesel coming sometime later this year.

Doubt if that will happen, they talked about the Mazda 6 diesel coming for years, never happened. Ā

I've been told that the 6 won't get it until the next total redesign, but I've been assured the CX-5 will have it late in the second model year of the current generation (so probably very late 2018 into early 2019)
