I honestly think GM is not looking global or leadership in this approach but short-term money grab in that they think people will not move to other auto makers for the tech they want and will allow GM to dictate what one can and cannot use in regard to the auto and their cell phone.

Unfortunate about GM and their Apple Car Play/Android Auto plans..not a smart move, IMO.   Apple Car Play and Android Auto work great in my CT6 and my sister's Equinox.

I'm fairly out of the loop with what GM is doing.  All I know is that I sort of like the Acadia* and its price is ridiculous. * not sure if it's partly a name thing because I love Acadia National Park in coastal Maine. But I liked the one that I was recently given as a rental, and that it has a 2.5 L Ecotec engine.
