Went to see my friend Donald today and check out his new CTS. Along the way I had some target practice. "Bandit in sight, 12 o'clock. Closing." "Target acquired. Weapons hot." "Fox 3! Splash one Prius." So, here's his car and mine. You know my boat; his is a 2007 Cadillac CTS 2.8 automatic. Lovely little car and while not the most optioned-out Caddy, its a definite step up from his '02 SL2. He has a 3yr/39,000 miles lease for around $299/mo.

I haven't had much good opportunity to populate around here lately, so much to do, so little time. We added another vehicle to the fleet the other day. What started as looking for new or slightly used ventured off into 'let's just get a bridge car' for awhile. Something that may be useful for not just my college kid, but also a budding HS kid who will be learning to drive soon. And, something that I may also be able to use to drive the 70 mile round trip to work each day and spell the miles from the van and TourX. Now we have to decide if we are going to get rid of the Grand Prix, which, it's probably time. Since the motivation here was more that I saw…

It isn't flashy or exciting, but it was what I could afford, and I make it as enjoyable as I can. No real complaints other than maybe I should have gotten a different interior color, I'm not a fan of beige. In the cost spot I put the whole amount financed, not sure what the base price was, but I think the rate was like 2.9% or something like that. I'll see about getting a picture sometime later, maybe. Here it is. Our 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 2wd. It has DVD, leather, 2nd row buckets, heated seats, 3rd row and an aftermarket Borla exhaust. Sorry about it being dirty. We haven't washed it yet.

This last weekend was my reserves UTA and while I had a nice dayshift schedule on a beautiful day I used my lunch break to take some pictures at a park on McChord AFB by a old C141B. 72 Skylark Custom Convertible 71 Camaro RS Z/28 I am so looking forward to driving the Skylark down to Reno for Hot August Nights.
