T1GHT WH!P$ TROPHY TRIVIA

Recommended Posts

In the next few weeks I'm going to post 59 different trivia questions

of all different forms on C&G. Multiple choice, photo identification,

photo match up & even some true or false. Some questions will be

multiple part and others a simple one word answer.

At the end of the 59 individual trivia thread questions all the winners

will be added up and a trophy will be mailed via the USPS to the

over all winner of the first annual Tight Whips Trivia Trophy.

Best of luck to all, I encourage everyone to participate.

T.W.T.T. Thread #25

If you ordered this particular 'factory racing equiptment for the street'

option for a certain F-body it was not installed on the car but rather

the 'stock' part was installed on the car while the optional part was

placed in the trunk for the owner to install. Criptic, maybe.

Yeah, I think it's the '68-'69 Firebird Ram Air components. Dammit, saw this thread too late again...

STRANGE RAM AIR FACT

# Ram Air cars through 1967 and into early 1968 were arriving at the dealers with Ram Air systems missing. After an investigation, it was discovered that, since the Ram Air components were to be delivered in the trunk for dealer installation, security at the plant thought that the items in the trunk were stolen. So they confiscated the property and returned it to the parts bin.

No; I was referring to the cold air induction connection from the air cleaner to the cowl plenum on Camaros. Not sure if it was shipped installed- it was a guess.

BTW Sixty8: the 3-piece '70.5 COPO rear spoiler WAS shipped in the trunk.... for dealer installation, but you weren't looking for that.

I knew the Firebird RA story- forgot it. Also heard the cross-ram story before, forgot that one, too.

Pontiac shipped early ('60) Super Duty cars with SD heads & intake in the trunk, also.

Yes: "Ram Air" is a Pontiac moniker.
