I love these. Once I move out of the snow belt, I'd love to pick up one as a daily driver...maybe stuff an Aurora V8 in one for kicks. You can find them completely restored for $10-15K

Next time you see a TURBOCHARGED 1963 Oldsmobile F85 restored for $10,000 please let me know!

No offense but if you ripped out an original Turbo'd 215 just to put the least

impressive No* in it I'd have to say you were a prick for destroying history.

That's like if you dropped a 4.6L V8 out of a Corwn Vic in your '68 Corvette.

You know, I did all that work last month upgrading the site and installed a spell checker, just for you. How about using it for crying out loud? :P:D:lol:

The ones I've seen must not have been turbo cars. IIRC, they were all around 185hp. Those I've seen done for $10K and wouldn't have second thoughts about putting a modern powertrain in it and using it as a DD. Regardless, I would save the original powertrain in the garage as long as it isn't seized solid. Obviously I'm not up on classic Oldsmobiles, but I'd definitely do my homework on a car like that before buying one. I fell in love with the early 60s F-85s after seeing a 1963 covnvertible at an auction last year, to the point where I would have tried to win it if the bidding stayed reasonable and I could find an outfit that reproduced sheetmetal for it (it didn't, and I couldn't). I love the tidy dimensions, the low, lean, mini-64 Impala SS side sculpting. Plus, you get all that with a V8 to boot!

I heard you can't get the 'Turbo Fluid' for these anymore...
