2007 Chrysler Sebring

Hmmm... wonder if it will debut with the same 4-sp automatic that the new Eclipse and current Galant have? I figure if there was a 5-sp auto available for this platform that Mitsubishi would have debuted it in the all new Eclipse. Still only a 4-sp in an all new car.

Why has their platform info always been so confusing? Is the 2004-now Galant/Endeavor/Eclipse stretched from the 2007 Lancer (or vice versa, rather)? Or is everything compact and mid-size Lancer-stretched? This info has been so confusing for sometime. I thought the Sebring JS41 (2007) looked like the Infiniti G35 sedan in the side glass, but of course with passing fad slant-down sill line mixed with the Airflite. Looked okay, but a fully or near-horizontal side window sill as seen on Airflite (my favorite recent concept from Chrysler) would be much better I think-more of a substantial feeling, traditional too I suppose. And so this is the mid-size lineup I'm thinking is what's been rumored: Chrysler Sebring JS, convertible, sedan. Dodge (Vertex?) aka Stratus replacement JS, sedan, possible 5-door hatchback sedan. Chrysler JC49-Pacifica Junior or Airflow or something?

There's a well thought out comment about a drawing based on someone's guess at what a completely camo'ed car might look like.  ;)

Doesn't change the fact that the rendering is ass-ugly, though.

why waste time examining it. the car is ASS FRICKING UGLY. not only is chrysler the new cheap plastic king, they apparently are the king of ugly cars now too. I can refrain from convulsions having an Aztek in my garage every day but I see this new Sebring and......... Edited by regfootball
