A Rare Pontiac Indeed

Featured Replies

I don't see '72 mentioned...was there a T-37 or GT-37 then? Or was the midsize Pontiac line then just LeMans and it's levels and the GTO (which was a trim level also by then, not a separate model, I think?).

1972~

LeMans, series 2D

Luxury LeMans, series 2G

LeMans Sport was a sub-series under the base Lemans (both series 2D).

GTO did return to option status for '72, available on the series 2D 2-dr sedan & 2-dr hardtop. This was also a return for the GTO: to offer a 2-dr sedan- last seen in '67.

There was a GT option package for the LeMans in '72 : same base equipment as on the previous year GT-37, of course with "GT" badging only vs. "GT-37".

I like the Hemmings mags...I currently subscribe to Hemmings Classic Cars and Muscle Machines..these along with Muscle Car Review and Collectible Automobile are the old car mags I subscribe to currently (also get 3 new car mags--Automobile, Car & Driver, Road & Track).

ive got HMM from issue 4 on (i'd like the first 3 to complete the library but they are around $30 each on ebay) i also have muscle car review. both are about the best i have read. i had chevy rumble and super chevy subscriptions but i got tired of the tri5's, camaros, and chevelles every month so i dropped those 2.
