Who wants to guess 1989?

It was the TransAm 20th Anniversary with the now even higher output 3.8 Intercooled Turbo. Pontiac took the great engine and eked out even more HP and put it into the TA that could handle as well.

Ahhhhh, the good old days of Pontiac

The 1987 Buick GNX ran the 1/4 @ 13.2 @ 105 mph STOCK!!! Top speed was 124mph.

The 1989 Turbo TA ran the 1/4 about the same but it`s top speed was 162 mph!!!!

Motor Trend tested a pre-production 1990 ZR1 with the TTA and the ZR1 topped out at 180mph.

The 1994 ZR1 got a hp bump from 375 to 405 in 1994 and stopped production in 1995 on April 28th.
