Have a GM car in my garage again

Featured Replies

I used to post to this forum back when I owned a Saturn Aura. Now I have a "new to me" 62 year old Chevrolet sitting in my garage - It's a stock 1948 Model Fleetmaster Town sedan. Hello and good to be back.

Welcome!

Here's a picture of my 48. She's the last of the "fat-fender" Chevys.post-9517-085607100 1286255424.jpg

She's a beauty!

Thank you. The really funny thing about this car - is that its the same color as my other 2 cars. Wife and I have a burgundy fleet.

Very nice! A gorgeous vehicle.

Stunning car. Nice color, too.

That color's in the ballpark of how I wanted the Cutlass' paintjob to turn out (but it didn't).

Thank you. The color is a red used on Honda Accords in 92. I was able to get touch-up paint that matched perfectly from my local Honda dealer.

She's a looker ... does she put out?, or is she sporting a stovebolt?

Any American ride beats them all as far as I see it. My Father drove a very similiar car from PittsburgPA to West Palm beach,FLA in 1948 with a leaking radiator.
