When we last reported on Chrysler minivan debacle back in May, CEO Sergio Marchionne said that Town and Country would be leaving after 2013, leaving the Dodge Caravan as the sole minivan. Taking the place of the Town and Country would be a crossover in 2014/2015.

According to a report from the Detroit Free Press, Chrysler still hasn't made a decision. Chrysler is showing four different concepts; a minivan and crossover from Chrysler and Dodge to consumer clinics before making the final decision.

When the decision is made, the redesigned minivan and new crossover will go on sale in 2014 as a 2015 model.

This seems so last minute to make sure everything is in place. I have to think the decision is already made and they are just trying to draw this out to stay in the news.

They either need to regrab the Mojo of the first Mini Vans to keep everyone happy and take it to the next level over the asian stuff or let it go and just focus on CUV CrossOver only.

The initial decision was to kill the Caravan and keep the Town and Country in the U.S. It's a little puzzling because the Caravan is the slightly better seller. I like both minivans, and I think there's a market for both, the more luxurious T&C and the more basic, sportier Caravan.
