The Tide

Pain management

It said on your chart

You awakened

And we spoke

Of country cabins

Salamanders

In the Spring House

Your father-in-law

And current events

Winter cold

I fed you ice cubes

With a spoon

Held your hand

And rubbed your arm

Softly.

We said I love you

And I gave a little wave

A faint smile

As I departed

And you spent

Your last night on Earth

No longer able

To fight the tide

Carried away

But forever I am

A small part of you

My thoughts go out to you and your family. I understand the pain and loss of such a loved one. I have a 96 year old grandma, all that is left from both sides so I truly feel for your loss. Hang in there as I know you have a life time of amazing memories.

I'm sorry to hear that, my condolences.. Alas, all my grandparents have been deceased for 30+ years. I lost a favorite Aunt Thursday..I'm in Kentucky for the funeral..she was 88 w/ Alzheimers, saw her last about 10 years ago. Happy memories of spending time w her and my uncle as a kid, riding in their Buicks. A positive is I get to see some cousins that I haven't see in a while this weekend.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. It's always so damned tough.

All my grandparents and parents are now gone. Some outstanding gearheads in that hallowed group, too. :)

My thoughts are with you & your family.
