  1. It's smooth, inexpensive, reliable, delivers good torque, and is reasonably fuel efficient for a V8. WTF is wrong with that? It's also the only way to get a V8 in a sedan at $33k or 370hp in a sedan at $33k. If you're looking for the most horsepower for dollar... Hemi is where its at.

  2. First off, i hope for the best for Sergio and his family. Manley seems well qualified to assume this role. I hope the transition goes ok, down the road, I wonder if this alters the course FCA seems to be on with regards to starving Chrysler and Dodge.

  4. The new CEO has a choice: save Dodge/Chrysler or save FIAT/Alfa Romeo. He MUST choose wisely.

  5. I've always wondered how driveable on a sunny day cars like that would be. I have to close the shade on my sunroof often.

  8. The Giorgio platform did have the help of some Ferrari engineers. Then again Ford and Chevy can make Ferrari killing cars and so can Dodge. This is why why you end up with not enough money to retool SHAP properly, the Compass is totally mediocre outside of Trailhawk, and no new FCA US passenger cars for the next 3 years.

  9. Here's today's work; the factory 20-gal tank and the original fuel sender. Made up this deal- aluminum top plate drilled to accept the fuel elbow, a huge steel washer that was drilled & tapped, then split in half so I can fish it into the tank thru the sender hole. It's going to be mounted in that flat area southeast of the sender hole. Here's the point of this fabrication: enlarging the factory 1/4-in fuel line to a half inch.

  10. I had no idea Sergio was ill. At the same time, replacing him with Manley should provide some hope for those who are pro-Chrysler and anti-FIAT. FIAT and Alfa Romeo do not even belong in the USA since neither fill a niche that can be filled by somebody else. "You know, I would like my ordinary car (or luxury car) to be made by Italians," said NO ONE (in NA) EVER.
