  1. You cannot remotely compare the Tesla truck to ANY production car (I can think of). ‘59 Edsel is a dreamboat in comparison.

  2. Coupla days left of decent daytime highs (50s), then it looks like a steady stream of 40s -30s after that. Get outside today!

  3. Like a movie prop from a 1948 movie, depicting life in the year 1990.

  4. And I could hear @ocnblu say from the top of his lungs up here in Montreal...(that is quite the distance from Lancaster) "Yeah! Spoiled Rotten!"

  5. About the bolded part... The ass of that Aston looks like the face of that Tesla. Its unique because I think its the first time in automotive history that a car took inspiration of another for its ass...maybe Tesla's face is only good enough for Aston's ass? I see what you did there!!!

  6. It’s not futuristic tho. We’ve seen it a hundred times from ‘70s-80s bad sci-fi movies. It’s actually retro like the Wagon Queen Family Truckster. It also craps all over the signature & established Tesla design language.

  7. Ford Flex. CUV or station wagon? In any case, same basic shape of a 2 box design of a 1960s , 1970s and 1980s station wagon while being the same 2 box design of an SUV...in any era. Tesla Cybertruck. Pick-up truck or SUV? Because THAT was done by Pontiac...and Im sure some other off road, adventure life style sport utility vehicle off-shoot from another manufacturer as well. And the Tesla truck is marketed as a pick-up, right? Anyway, if anything, the Tesla does really break the mold in what an SUV or pick-up truck should look like, so there is that.

  8. Music - YOUR music - is very important when on a road trip. Having music that you've selected for your library coming in through Bluetooth or whatever medium makes a road trip more enjoyable and it's probably even a good thing for your safety because you're less likely to get bored, distracted, or tired.

  11. Love this write up and how they specifically tested a 6'6" tall person in the back seat that still had a couple inches of head room left unlike the tight fitting Tesla X. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/ford-mustang-mach-e/ I am excited for Ford to Eat up some of Tesla's Lunch and Dinner! Love this part of the story at the above link. QUOTE: Some of the pleasure you get from driving a high-performance car is the noise it makes. A husky exhaust sound or open-element air filter can heighten the experience. Ensuring the Mach-E delivers an emotional drive, Palmer said there will be no "fake sounds." What it'll do instead is boost the noises this SUV's powertrain already makes, producing something that's "complex, multitimbral" but also authentic. The last thing they wanted to do is pump fake V8 exhaust sounds out of it. If you were worried about that, your concerns are, thankfully, unfounded.

  13. I'm betting it quakes a good bit of money to create those special themed liveries for planes. Wow, even the interior. If it's for advertising, the (other) company pays for it. When Argentina won the cup in soccer and Diego Maradona was thought to walk on water, they put his image kicking a soccer ball on the side of their 747. I wonder who picked up that tab. Alitalia has had 747s painted up in both Baci (those delicious hazelnut chocolates by Perugina) and Bulgari.

  14. I still think Musk is screwing with everybody. They'll release the actual Cyborgtruck and say "Psych!" ? Noway they are releasing the "Lego Truck" for an actual production truck. If so, they are all severely lacking oxygen out in the Bay Area.

  16. Simple, someone who has a dead V8 and would like to convert to EV, this hooks up to their existing Transmission. As a conversion package, for those that love their old auto but need a new motor and have thought about buying an EV, this is an option.

  17. The Cybertruck is a very futuristic design, a radical departure from the usual 3 box design of pickups. It will be interesting to see how different the production model will look.

  18. Looks great but who would buy it and remove and replace their current V8 with this EV engine? I personally do not see much of a market for this engine.

  20. As far as the Aston Martin design definition of what an SUV/CUV should look like....as an Aston Martin... #notimpressed Yeah. Id rather be looking at my nails too.

  21. I have no problem with Aston making an SUV. That's where the money today is and it is a big and profitable market. I bet DBX will sell more than the rest of the lineup combined. I am just a little disappointed in the design. It is not a bad looking SUV but I expected better from Aston.

  22. Cluelessidioticwritersayswhat? Future safety/MPG/emission laws do not effect already-existing autos. There's literally no need to use fear-mongering tactics about legalities in order to push a discretionary consumer product.

  23. I have always liked Aston Martin auto's and this ROCKS! Should help drive profits as they plan out the future of EVs. Excited to see this in person.

  26. Last year we hosted a small gathering for two people who didn't have a place to go for the holiday. This year we're hosting most of the family, I think the count is 12 or 13 plus a dog. I'm still sick, but getting by. We're doing most of the cooking. There's a 20 lbs turkey defrosting in the fridge. Friday I stay at home and shop online. Saturday and Sunday are just free days for me... might hang out with friends.

  28. Lords town motors says they will have their pickup truck out in Q4 of 2020 beating Tesla with a superior electric truck. Their base price will be $52,500 before Fed incentive. https://electrek.co/2019/11/21/lordstown-motors-beat-tesla-to-market-electric-pickup/

  30. It's futuristic in that it looks like it's a prop from a sci fi movie...more futuristic than the hideous Silverado HD, for example, which looks like most any other truck of the last 20+ years but with an uglified front end. One aspect of the Cybertruck that is very different is the low, pointy front end and sloped back windshield instead of the usual overwrought grille and bloat of a mainstream truck. I do wonder if we will see sleeker trucks emerge, EV and otherwise, instead of the overwrought, blunt fronts that pervade trucks now.
