Exactly. My point is that if you make it convenient for government to send money to businesses that lobby them, they flat out will.

While I have no problem with the government spending tax dollars on new tech to get things moving forward as to why I support the EV rebates for now, eventually they have to go away. Things that need to go away are pork like the $50 billion given to the oil industry for exploratory drilling. WHY, Exxon Mobile made over $100 Billion in pure profit last year, I doubt they need tax dollars for finding new oil well's especially when they make that much money. Another PORK that needs to go away is the billions spent on maintaining the worlds biggest Tank fleet parked in the high Dessert in California when the military says they do not want or need tanks in this modern world as they are not useful in the modern warfare world. Just a couple of examples where we need to cut fat, live within our budget and focus like we did in the 90's paying down national debt.

Not socially distant, that is so dangerous, what are those people thinking.

I wonder which airline's '47 that was. That padding at the edge of the headrests with those embedded cushions in the economy cabin was nicer than that of most carriers (of people, that is). This photo has 1973 written all over it. Who can forget when the 747 was more or less new? Times were good.

I always wonder why governments subsidize businesses in any way. The corporate tax code is notorious for business subsidies that are tax expenditures when the corporate tax code is supposed to fill the Treasury's coffers. THOSE are the worst. The current PPP program is not working as intended mostly because the biggest banks are administering it to their biggest clients FIRST. This is bad. I would rather have that money go to individuals rather than businesses because it is a LOT harder to distort incentives when people (not large businesses) are getting the money to do what they need to do, whether it is paying for essentials or debt service. I am all for cutting the fat and ditching the pork. The biggest hogs are in the corporate tax code, excessive military spending, and basically all subsidies to big business. Where should we start cutting?

Always did enjoy watching women race cars, Amy Ruman the Trans Am Champion is one of my favorite people on the planet.....but this lady can drive. Skip ahead toa bout the two minute mark if you want to watch the quarter mile run. That channel also has Pontiac content, skip ahead to the one minute mark or so to watch this 72 Ventura launch hard with wheels up.

Cool Car, the best part is the center of that Grill. Always liked the Pontiac nose.

Compared to today's airline seating space these people are socially distant...

Beautiful weather this afternoon, took a drive for about 40 min out through the national park on some winding roads in the Caddy. Saw a white C8 rumbling along, and a dark blue C7 convertible top down.. feels good to get out of the house even if going nowhere in particular...

'70s stuff isn't my genre, and neither is whatever Fleetwood Mac is ('folk rock'?), but there's no denying that the '77 Rumors is a fantastic album. There were a bunch of purely inspired albums in that decade that eclipsed anything else many of the Tier 1 artists ever did. I'm not a Springsteen fan at all despite being from Jersey,, and he should've hung up recording about 20 years ago IMO, but Born to Run is another stellar album.

I love this!

Not like it's anything special or rare, though...just a common truck with shitty mods. Run a tank over it..
