  1. This is what Trump promises, but that is not what Trump's #1 agenda is. His agenda is to make America into something along the lines of Russia. Oligarch economy with not too many billionnaires controlling the meek. The meek being you and I. Meaning ALL Americans and Canadians from ALL walks of life. Only billionnaires that kowtow to him. Albertans and the MAGA people suffer from the same disease. No education that listened to and continue to listen to politicians and religious folk that keep them poor and stupid. Quebecois were once like that. Cardinal whatever his name was a Premier Duplessis. And the 'Hanglish' as well. But they got wise to that, had their silent revolution in the 1960s that came to a boil in the early 1970s, independance talks form then on up until the 1990s, and that is that. They DO want to protect the French culture and language but they do NOT get bamboozled too quickly. Maybe fear of the English language kreeping up into Quebec that politicians like to dangle once in a while, but that puts the English at bay so it might not be a bad thing for Quebec after all. It looks like Quebec is on board, in English I might add, to unite with the rest of Canada to fight Trump... Only Alberta it seems that the Conservative party in Alberta still believes that Trump will magically be nice to Albertan oil...

  2. Albertans mostly. Some sprinkled in Quebec and Ontario but not that much really. The Prairie provinces because they are still pissed that Pierre E. Trudeau, father of Justin, allegedly alienated the "West" by prevented further Albertan oil drilling and selling of said oil to other parts in Canada and in the world. Father Trudeau did say to them to diversify in their products to produce and sell... Irony is that Western porvinces hate father Trudeau because he alienated them while saying he favored Ontario and Quebec while Quebecois also hated father Trudeau because of same sentiment but Quebecois say that father Trudeau sold their independance to Englis Canada mainly from the west... In my honest understanding he could not been able to do both as its contradictory. He either was a traitor to Western Canada or he was a traitor to Eastern Canada. In reality though, he done good when both the East and West hated him. He done his job as there was really NO favoritism. He done his job righting many wrongs that were pulling Canada in the wrong directions from ALL provinces.

  3. There are a bunch of Trump loving LGBTQ folks. In this video Becky is actually sane and rational though conservative. Quite unlike certain former folks. The problem is that a bunch of Canadians love Trump and you are going to have your own right wing evolution. I stand by every anti American comment I have made here in the last 18 years. Every single effing one of them.

  4. Phoque him!!! Phoquing Trumpster that he is. I wanna know though, him being from the LGBTQ community and all, yeah, I was shocked to find that out when I was reading past threads the last year I wasnt posting in here that he is gay. I wanna know how he feels when Trump is blasting the LGBTQ community more now in the last 2 months than the entire 4 years he was President #45. Had I know though, then that OCNBLU was gay, I would have BLASTED him more furiously further for being a hypocritical homosexual approving that asshat Trump, so its a good thing that I didnt know his business then.

  5. We start with 155 billion dollars worth for now. 30 billion starting Tuesday. And 21 days later the remaining 120 billion to give a chance to Canadian businesses to adapt and possibly adopt new trading partners from other parts in the world. And seeing that the US imports 480 billion dollars worth of Canadian products, with still have another 350 billion dollars more to inflict tariffs on. Like I said, surgically we are doing this. Trump done the hammer thing. We are methodical. We will be concentrating on the red states. And we will be inflicting pain on those states as much as we can to make then plead to Donald to stop. We know that in doing so, inflicting pain on his people that voted him in, he might listen as we know he will NOT listen to the Blue States. In reality though, he does NOT care at all. Its JUST about him and his oligarch friends to make money... America is seeing the last of its days as a global influence. And MAGA people dont realize the damage they have done to their country. And its too late now as the world is looking at this and will never trust ANY political figure or trading partner from the US going forward into the future.

  6. https://www.canada.ca/en/department-finance/news/2025/02/canada-announces-155b-tariff-package-in-response-to-unjustified-us-tariffs.html It turns out that, the automotive industry will not be spared by Canada. EVs included. Minister LeBlanc also announced that the government intends to impose tariffs on an additional list of imported U.S. goods worth $125 billion. A full list of these goods will be made available for a 21-day public comment period prior to implementation, and will include products such as passenger vehicles and trucks, including electric vehicles, steel and aluminum products, certain fruits and vegetables, aerospace products, beef, pork, dairy, trucks and buses, recreational vehicles, and recreational boats.

  7. Wont be good for GM or Ford. Not only did Trump put a tariff on products that COME from Canada or Mexico which means final assemblied products FROM Canada and Mexico which means the Ford F-150 and the Silverado are going to be tariffed 25% and many other models such as Equinoxes, Blazers and Mavericks and Broncos which are bread and butter vehicles BUT, Trump ALSO put a 25% tariff on Canadian steel and aluminium which is bought by Ford and GM to actually PRODUCE said vehicles. The auto industry is a MAJOR back bone industry for the US. If on Tuesday, American tariffs will actually take effect, Ford and GM production will most definitely close down in the coming weeks if not days. And I havent even discussed the retalitory tariffs that Canada will impose on American goods. To start, Canada hasnt discussed about the automotive industry as we know that is suicidal for us as well. But it WILL lead to that and we WILL impose tariffs on US branded automobiles. Irony is that Michigan JUST became a red state... And why I say that: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (and yes he is still our PM until a replacement has been found which the Liberal party has until March to find a replacement until election time in October) had over a week to disuss with the Provincial Premiers on how to deal with these tariffs and we are SURGICALLY putting MOST of our tariffs on RED STATES. The products that these Red States sell to Canada. We will increase our percentages accordingly to whatb Trump will counter, but we will also expand our products. Keeping this trade war talk in terms of the automotive industry as it pertains to GM and Ford...imagine if Trump further increases tariffs on our steel and aluminium? And imagine when we ourselves INCREASE our prices for steel and aluminium further? Imagine also when we will tariff automobiles coming from the Michigan area because Red State... Honda Civics and HRVs are already best sellers in Canada, but these are vehicles being built IN Canada. Ram trucks are part of Stellantis, headquartered in Michigan for Chryco but Stellantis is really not American. Therefore fullsized pick-up needs can and WILL go to Stellantis. So many scenarios to where Ford and GM really lose out. I have said this before and I will say it again, this trade war will NOT end good for the US. It WILL be WORSE for Americans than it will be for Canadians. In the short term, no citizen will win. In the long term, this will be very very bad for Americans. The BIGGER picture of the American automotive picture is that, Americans (and Canadians) will pay HIGHER price tags for their cars more than ANYWHERE else in the world and in history. Most vehicles that are sold in the US are built in Mexico. Some in Canada and some in China. Trump put a 25% tariff on those. Cars that are NOT built in Mexico or Canada to be sold in the US and in Canada are being built in RED STATES. Canada will be putting a tariff on those. Its notm only Michigan that cars are being built. Georgia and Alabama also have car plants that build cars for Canadians to buy. We could live without Mercedes Benzes but we do like our Hyundai/KIA EVs. Those are built in Georgia... Maga people and Trump have not thought this thing through. Maga people think that Trump is a saviour. Maga people think that Canada (and Mexico) amounts to nothing. The irony is that that those two things I said are the complete OPPPOSITE of what reality is. Trump is not their saviour. He is the destructor of the American Empire. And its them that really amount to nothing. Insignificant in this world.

  8. Profit for Tesla came in a drop in sales globally but the $2.8 Billion in Emission sales plus a $600 million gain in Crypto Currency is what allowed Tesla to have a profitable quarter / End of year. With out that, Tesla weird way of building auto's and using the gains from Stocks to expand the business globally is showing that Tesla is cracked and could fail more than Rivian. Happy that GM is making a profit on EVs now, and I think allot of this is using the knowledge of 100 plus years of building auto's to make them efficiently. Tesla had to go their own way in building EVs and sadly it is still not efficient, quality or profitable. Going to be an interesting year in the auto industry for who survives and who flies to the auto graveyard in the sky!

  9. Face Palm is in response to the wammy of Tesla in Canada, unbelievable. Sadly, seems Trumpy is going to stop the ability to sell emission credits and that will stop Tesla from selling theirs to others which was last year $2.8 billion in emissions sales that helped with the bottom line. If the current administration kills off the emission credits that companies like Stellantis have relied on to earn billions by selling V8 powered autos more than anything, while it will help Stellantis, it will wipe out the bottom line for Tesla. Trump is putting Tesla's $2.8 billion side hustle under threat The story is saying that Tesla could see an immediate drop if this change happens of 13% in stock price, I will say it will be even worse than that as Tesla being negative with no positive cash flow will have stockholders fleeing.

  10. Elon also threatened to RAISE the price of ALL his Teslas in Canada. His Model 3 and Y, the models that sell the most in Canada by 9 000 Canadian dollars. And although the tariffs that Trump will impose will affect car prices here in Canada as well, Elon raising his prices on Teslas will only make Canadians NOT buy Teslas but to buy Hyundai/KIA and GM EVs instead. And in retaliation, our politicians will be tariffing Teslas in return most probably. So a DOUBLE and TRIPLE whammy for Elon and Tesla in Canada... https://driving.ca/auto-news/news/tesla-canada-price-hikes-tariff-ev-musk https://www.ctvnews.ca/business/autos/article/tesla-raising-prices-for-its-vehicles-in-canada-by-up-to-9000-starting-feb-1/ Self destruction at a whole other level GM and Ford stand not only to lose billons of dollars, but market share also...to Hyundai/KIA and the Chinese brands. Because either Mexico or Canada or both will surely allow them eventually to not only sell their cars here, but to build them here also. Push comes to shove, right? Elon is self harming himself in Canada and across the planet. Even if Donald helps him out in the US to overcome the EV rebates and subsidies that will end soon if that hasnt ended already, Americans wont buy EVs from him. And those from the lunatic right wing express that support him and Donald, well, they dont want EVs to begin with. But, the idea is that Donald is doing all this just to line his billionnaire friends and his own pockets with money belonging to Americans... Im afraid the American automobile industry is going to go extinct and that is one way on how and why these tariffs will hurt Americans more than Canadians. Also, Canadians are kinda used to paying more for gasoline and price of new cars. We dont like that fact, but we are kinda numb to it... Good luck to you folk though.

  11. OUCH, This is a big hurt as the details of how a 25% tariff will play out on the auto prices. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/implemented-or-not-trump-s-25-tariff-threat-is-challenging-the-auto-industry/ar-AA1ybfK6?ocid=msedgntp&pc=W069&cvid=f8ace88f37f148288cd3f5276396c104&ei=42 Quote: Wells Fargo estimates that 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada imports would cost the traditional Detroit automaker billions of dollars a year. The firm estimates the impact of 5%, 10% and 25% tariffs on GM, Ford Motor and Chrysler parent Stellantis would collectively be $13 billion, $25 billion and $56 billion, respectively. S&P Global Mobility, formerly IHS Markit, estimates a 25% duty on a $25,000 vehicle from Canada or Mexico would add $6,250 to its cost — some if not most of which could be passed on to the consumer. Here are the automakers that are most exposed to tariffs on vehicles imported from Mexico, based on the percentage of their U.S. sales being produced south of the border: Volkswagen: 43% Nissan: 27% Stellantis: 23% GM: 22% Ford: 15% Honda: 13% Toyota: 8% Hyundai: 8% So, a $25,000 auto will become a $31,250 auto due to the Tariffs. Get ready for MASSIVE INFLATION under the incompetent leadership of the U.S. Ford Mach-e that are manufactured in Mexico have an Average transaction price of $40,959 with a 25% tariff, that will be a Tariff of $10,240 so a purchase price becomes $51,199 OUCH, it hurts to see all the bets against our country and stock market for things falling, but sadly the leadership has not given me any reason to not see the country stock market falling this year. Hedge funds bet billions on market crash in Trump’s America

  12. Buckle up dear American friends. These tariffs are going to cost the avg US household a whole lotta money. New car prices. Gasoline. Transportation on goods. Keep in mind that the US uses a LOT of Canadian oil. That is why the fat moron only wants to tariff oil at 10% rather than the 25% he keeps on heckling about. Housing. Plus, we Canadians are going to tariff US goods as well. Which wont be good but it will be necessary. A tariff war will not benefit either of us, but believe it or not, it will be a lot worse for you guys... Ontario and Quebec provide electricty to MILLIONS of Americans in the North East. THAT wont be good. It will be disatrous to the price of eggs if you will, to those shytheads that voted in Trump. And, this beautiful blonde lady that represents Donald's mouth, in this clip, she mentions fentanyl. But does she know that underground CIA operations have fostered fentanyl production in South American countries? Probably not, but I diont see her lasting too long at her job because she not only is dumber than Donald's previous mouth pieces such as Kayleigh McEnany and Sarah Huckabucks, she looks to be timid as well. At least the other two could lie with a straight face and believe the bullshyte, this one looks like she is going to break down. She seems to have moral standards... Which I kinda feel bad for her, because I have a feeling reporters this time around wont let the bullshyte fly like they did 2016-2020. And Fox news had to pay millions of dollars for bullshytting. The threat for punishment for false info still looms. I cant believe though, that Donald the duck administration had the balls to tell her to say that Justin Trudeau shoudnlt be threatening Donald with retalitory tariffs before talking to the duck first. Too bad this aint hockey, because Donald would have had his hockey jersey over his head and Justin be pounding on him. PS Justin is an amateur boxer. Donald is just a fat phoque.

The LLC that owns C&G got some new contracts recently and I'm going to be writing off every last thing I can. Both of us may be putting a lot of expensable miles on soon and we might find a cheap EV lease to take advantage of the situation and keep the miles off the ICE vehicles.

  16. All of that waste is reprocessable back into fuel again, but due to outdated regulations and fear mongering dating back to the 1970s, it is only waste because we say it is waste. Breeder reactors can extract additional energy out of those nuclear byproducts and turn it back into useable fuel in another type of reactor. The only reason we don't do that is because it could be used to make bomb quality isotopes. But if WE are the ones doing it, why are we afraid we might accidentally make the bomb isotopes? The remaining radioactive material left over from those next two steps in the process, if we got out of our own way and did them, would condense the entire container seen above down to a relatively benign thimble size.

  17. Considering the number of folks that have had their life cut short in Hanford here due to what was supposed to be storage for life of radioactive Liquid, I would say this will fail and contaminate the earth, animals or humans in a new and destructive way. Honestly, I remember this from the news and the science behind it that it is the best way to store Nuclear waste, as a glass solid and then put it into an underground bunker like the old salt mines in the SW. SRS - Programs - Waste Solidification QUOTE: The largest radioactive waste glassification plant in the world, DWPF converts the high-level liquid nuclear waste currently stored at the Savannah River Site (SRS) into a solid glass form suitable for long-term storage and disposal. Scientists have long considered this glassification process, called “vitrification,” as the preferred option for immobilizing high-level radioactive liquids into a more stable, manageable form until a federal repository is ready.

  18. ummmm yeah... Deep geological disposal... Away from where humans live deeeeeep down bee-low. Away from the top soil deep in the earth's core. Sealed in containers that wont leak, sealed in chambers that will contain the leakages, if there is a such a leakage to begin with, that themselves wont leak deeeeeeeeep down bee-low with nuclear waste that has been neutralized. All nice things when spoken but what IS the reality and the TRUTH about this storage? Colour me just a tad skeptical. And why? We cant seem to stop a freakin' faucet from leaking with attempts and trials and errors that span a millennia. We cant seem to stop ANY liquids from escaping their containment, again, a practice that we have tried to do spanning a millennia or two or three. Even four and five... So know, we wanna poison the earth from deeeep inside as we are NOT content of killing our planet from above. My my!!! We are quite the destructive little shytes we are!!!

  19. To quote: Audi CEO Gernot Döllner: “Highly emotive reinterpretation of quattro” This pretty much states the drive by Audi to offer a showcase EV that covers the potential of the PPE platform. Audi developed portal axles that enable gradient climbs of up to 100% with a wider track, increased ride height that delivers on a spectacular appearance that no other EV has delivered today. The Audi Q6 Offroad features a two-motor AWD Quattro powertrain that delivers 380 kW or 510 HP. A progressive off-road stance that increases the ride height by 160mm or 6.3 inches and a wider track of 250mm or 9.8 inches over current Audi width. The new portal axles allow an increase in torque by 50 percent, enabling the Q6 Offroad to climb a 45-degree gradient with no problems. The Q6 Off-road is built off the Audi Q6 e-tron, the first model built on the PPE or Premium Platform Electric system. It is the new reference point for electrically driven Vorsprung durch Technik. The Audi Q6 model series not only excels with impressive driving and charging performance but also sets standards in range and efficiency per their press release. The Q6 e-tron offroad concept can be seen in action on February 1, 2025, at the F.A.T. Ice Race and on the social media channels of @Audi Sport. The interior is currently what is found in the Q6 e-tron. Since this is based on an existing production version EV, the Q6 Offroad could easily be put into production based on feedback from various events where Audi is going to show this off and gather attendees' response. What do you think, should this go into production? View full article

  20. @surreal1272 You are right that style is personal, but if you look at the full picture, a 400V slow ID-Buzz versus 800V versatile van, Kia is winning here imho. I get the VW history But this is very appealing as a lifestyle Van also plus the superior tech.
