  1. I am not religious, but this guy just gets it.

  2. I was looking for the mid-December dates for IKEA USA's Christmas Julbord (smorgasbord/buffet). It is a great value and all their goodies are right there to pile onto your plate(s). I couldn't find dates for it. In 2024, it was not held. However, since someone wrote an article about the 2023 event at the NYC Brooklyn IKEA, that might have been its swan song year. If so, I am pissed. Texas, maybe with Oklahoma and Arkansas also thrown in, have always been South Central to me and others. When a childhood friend tried living in Austin to be closer to his in-laws, it didn't work out and he moved back to Northern California. He said, 'I didn't like living in the Midwest.' He's not the sharpest tool.

  4. I have a high level of tolerance for folks like you, and a low level of tolerance for evangelicals. With all of my anti Ford ranting, I sort of feel sorry for that Rust bucket pickup. It ran 300,000 plus hard miles, and is headed for the crusher, still runs OK. But rusted to oblivion. They had a Ford Excape on that had 600,000 plus miles on it, again, headed to the crusher. There ought to be an "out to pasture" for older hard working cars, where they go live somewhere people wax them on Sundays, drive them to golf courses and drive in theaters, and where they all sleep in heated garages next to the family dog.

  5. Ha. Yes. I have had falling outs or distancing from every evangelical Christian I've known. They're sheep, can't think for themselves, preach, and quote. The more evangelical you go, the more stupid they get. When it comes to mainline Christianity, Roman Catholics are the most educated (consider their school systems that do NOT aim to convert), right along with Episcopalians. There's something to be said for critical thinking skills. Just because I don't attend regularly does not mean I'm not religious. Church politics and parish level pettiness annoy me. I have 16 years of Catholic schooling under my belt. I think the toast got burnt after 12 years. When I finally got to go to a public university, I preferred it.

  6. Do you want the car to weigh more or less? Light weight aircraft aluminum is light, but not as light as plastic, plus it will cost significantly more. Body panels aren't structural and there's no point in using that, IMO. I'm sure there was plenty of testing, but none with 100k in aftermarket modifications, including ripping out the entire OEM exhaust system.

  7. You can't put this on GM when an owner modifies the vehicle. " “I changed every single thing on the car I could to prepare for this race." The ZR1 now makes about 30 percent more horsepower than stock, he says, thanks to a larger throttle body, ported heads, upgraded rockers, lifters, supercharger, and other alterations. As to why the tail end wound up so roasted and toasted, well, it turns out there is no real exhaust system per se on the car; it has Kooks headers and AWE straight pipes, but no muffler."

  10. If they had used lite weight aircraft aluminum rather than plastic, would it have still melted? I am just saying that the auto is designed for speed and to be modified, as such, they should have tested for what could affect the body.

  11. I don't think anybody considers Texas the Midwest though, hahaha.

  12. If Canadians want to travel for fun to the US, by all means, go for it. BUT… Please don’t expect help or pity when/if you run into problems there. You’ve been warned for almost a year about what’s going on there. Hard to be pissed when damage is self inflicted. Americans voted for it. Venezuela is next on our hit list for places to invade, expect lots of young Americans to needlessly die.

  13. I need to edit mine down, I have a ton of classical cantadas I seldom listen to. A lot of jazz though... The black MAGA people would of fought with the confederate army back in the day and would be the same ones that would of ratted out Harriet Tubman… Positive for today.

  14. My vinyl count was pretty low over the years until the last six months or so. I have an old school console stereo from my birth year (1972) with a great sounding little turntable on it. Even has a working 8-track with eight tapes! I picked it up about two years ago for $25 at a thrift store and only had to replace a $14 cartridge! Since then, I have slowly (until the last six months lol) built up my old school collection. Hasn't gotten too out of hand but one must always be wary!

  15. Not religious, but I find the orthodox church about eleven billion times more Christian than American evangelicalism. I have several man caves, a spare bedroom in my house for reading, a garage woodworking shop, my living room set up for Stereo equipment. This is why most of my time is in my wood shop, my living room with my stereo, or out hiking/on my bicycle. The more I know about humans, the more I like cats, dogs, and birds.
