  1. Good morning ... You don't know who that is? He (later) had a face that looked like a coin.

  2. Good morning, getting older. I want to try this place out. Tried turning a snow woman rather than a snow man, kind of liked the more feminine form. Current status of the world... A lot of people disagree with me/her on this, but I think it is inevitable.

  3. Sometimes, when the $25 1972 console stereo you bought four years ago finally dies, you have to change it up a bit. Before and after below.

  4. Over the last six years or so, I have slowly grown my Vinyl collection. This project was an effort to preserve my vinyl playing ways after the original 50 year amp gave out and I could not find a replacement anywhere on earth lol. Here's some other pics of the progress over the last week or so... After gutting it, I installed some wood slats. For the record, nothing was cut away from the cabinet itself. I steed away all the original components in case I ever come across another OEM amp for it. The only change to the cabinet itself was the paint and stain job. After that, I set did a little "switcharoo" with some old school Sony floor speakers that were put into storage due to a pair of blown passive woofers (top speakers in them were active woofers with the bottom being the passive woofers). I combined the working woofers into a single cabinet and cut out two holes on one end to install the mid and tweeter from "gutted" floor speaker cabinet. Then that was installed through the back of the console and it barely fit lol. Here's the rest of the work.

  5. That's Al Capone. I learned from the visitor center at Hot Springs.Arkansas that he used to come down there with his fellow gangsters to soak at the different resorts and get away from Chicago. He only lived to forty-eight. He wasn't murdered, nor did he die in jail. He had this debilitating illness, and he was able to spend his last years in a mansion on one of those exclusive islands off of Miami.

  6. I have always felt Tesla, the old tech company is going down a failed path that many deaths have proven is a failed approach. Mercedes has their level 3 eyes/hands off self driving up to 45mph. GM has a new SuperCruise Level 3 eyes/hands off with no speed limits coming out next year. Ford has just stated Waymo’s approach makes more sense and safer than Tesla's. 7. As a music lover and a vinyl lover, I love this! The Chinese are so much better at building EV's. I have a cheap old mountain bike I use for Urban riding, back on campus after a night ride. Thinking of giving this a two wheel try over thanksgiving when I go south to see family.

  10. Speaking of end of year hardware buys, upgraded my home office w/ a Dell 32 inch HDR 4K monitor...thinking of rotating one of my 24 inch Dell monitors vertically for email and Slack. I have one 24 inch Dell w/ my Mac Mini, may hook a 2nd 24 inch to it if I rotate the other vertically.

  11. There is a cool house here in Columbus that was built by the owner of a buggy company in the 1880's right before cars became popular. The Buggy business went the way of....the dodo bird and typewriter. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1330-Bryden-Rd-Columbus-OH-43205/33846110_zpid/ Still a really interesting house, I may ride by it tonight. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Frederick_Myers_house Olde Towne East where this home is located. A similar but smaller house was torn down just north of here, it was left to decline until it really wasn't saveable.
