Some days I miss being a young man, that was very much part of it. And will continue to do so. That and E bikes, E lawn mowers, E snow blowers. In Ohio, I work in facilities for a university. We got rid of our gas powered snow blowers and got electric ones. Much quieter, never fail to start on a cold morning, no explosive gas sitting around, don't need to keep a bunch of gas on hand for them, lighter, cleaner (no grease or oil, etc.) Amazon around here is all E delivery vehicles. The paradigm shift is happening, and we see this overseas on other markets, where electric cars are rapidly replacing EV's. This is why I see the demise of domestics (among other issues). When the inevitable happens and the US and Canada do open the door to Chinese EV's, they will be so far ahead of what US automakers are making that it will be like watching the typewriter business or the buggy business go away as the new technology rushes in like a flood.

He goes on to say that one could fix the brakes on a car by themselves. Its not that hard he says. But even if putting the brakes on backwards he says, you would hear a noise that something is wrong and you would just change the brakes up again to put them right. Like he does not see the problem with what he just said? ALL KINDS of error in thinking in that... Zeke in his business auto shop down the street should be able to hire auto mechanics students straight from an auto mechanics school to fix modern GM cars, Ford cars, KIAs, Toyotas and all the other OEMs out there WITHOUT having to buy special proprietary equipment and computers to unlock the proprietary car's computer to be able to read the software language to be able to repair... I will agree with that. But Bobby Joe with his two good teeth and his blood cousin/brother-n-law Waylon who married his sister Country Sunshine shouldnt be able to... 6. There is a reason to why computers are locked though. Everything phoquing Bluetooth in cars today and outside hackers might and will be able to take control of the cars. Not that would stop any hacker, but it is more difficult to do so. 7. AND....cars today ARE sophisticated. You cant just bang on a car part today with a hammer to get it to fit or to hillybilly a solution for it. Yeah...put a brake part on backwards he says... Fix it later and better he says when you hear weird noise he says.... Phoque me!!! If you are serious in doing your own car work...make the phoque sure you aint putting on nothing backwards... I thought changing brakes are easy. THAT is what he says too. But that is the thing, if putting on brakes is such an easy and trivial thing , why would you put it on backwards, but if you do put it on backwards, what else do you phoque up on the car today in 2025? And that is with brakes... Cars today are not just mechanical.... Does this youtuber or Zeke or Bobby Joe, Waylon and Country Sunshine know electronics and computers? Are they willing to learn? They probably all flunked out and dropped out of school, so no...they have no will to learn anything new... Any other Joe Blow...who some knowledge and its a difficult thing... Why would you attempt to fix it yourself voiding a warranty or phoquing up another part and being in a worse position than before? The folk that are able to work on today's cars OUTSIDE of a dealership KNOW what to do. They often HOTROD their cars and TUNE their engines different from the factory settings. These guys ALREADY know what to do. Joe from accounting in your office has not the time, nor the patience to do such things. Billy Bob in appalachia might be able to do it because Billy Bob is a car guy, but Bobby Joe with his 2 good teeth, most probably not. Fake phoquing outrage...

I've been taking photos and need to slot them into their right spots. GM "full sizes" Buick LaCrosse (3rd and final generation) This picture turned out good and flatters it. It's about the same length as the 1st generation, but the sweep of the cabin greenhouse makes it look deceptively longer. I think there was a person inside, and they were wondering why I was taking this photo - - - - - Olds Ninety-Eight Regency (RWD, probably Olds 5.0 liter Rocket V8) Got it just in time! I'm thinking '83 or '84. I will always love these cars. This one dates back to July. The others are all recent. As I would say, "voila la Cathedrale Roulante." - - - - - Pontiac Bonneville At its very youngest, this is a 36 year old car. The last year for this rear light bar was 1989. I saw this in a valet situation at a hospital and didn't have a chance to talk to the parking attendant. This Bonneville is in outstanding shape. I did not like the rounded Bonneville that Pontiac marketed from 1992 through 1999. But I really liked the very last one which debuted in 2000 ... as long as the trim level didn't get carried away with the cladding.

For sure. 100% I have a personal anecdotal story involving insurances. Although my aunt's and uncle's insurance story from Boston didnt affect me personally, its a story that makes me very indifferent regardless what kind of monster Luigi Mangione could really be. If the story is that the CEO that got murdered was truly a sweet man, then I will have empathy for him. If not...indifference it will be for me. I have lost a lot of my humanity these last few years I must admit. And you would be correct, indifference is almost always NOT the correct emotion to wield no matter what the circumstances. Most probably was. I am curious to know Luigi's motives. Although I am not too fond of Luigi either. I dont like murderers. But...innocent until proven guilty. And Luigi's Miranda Rights allegedly were not given to him. And...a search warrant was not present when the officers went through his backpack. I will hate it if Luigi does not stand trial because of incompetency. Justice needs to be served. For the deceased as well for the charged as well for society. Any murder is creepy, I will agree. We discussed my indifference so I wont get into that again. This would be a second time I would be indifferent to horrific public murders in a year's time. My indifference to both murders does not negate that I also sense and feel the creepiness of it all. Good guy or bad guy, indifference to his murder or not, and we will add Charlie Kirk to this...NOBODY should be murdered. I agree with your assessments: indifference is not the right answer and vigilantism is a very dangerous road to follow. human beings are strange creatures. Psychology has proven that human beings are more lenient and more favorable towards pleasant physical human attributes than to humans that are less lucky to be blessed with beautiful genetics. Reality is though... that ALL human beings are capable of murder. THAT is the scary part.
