  1. I dont think it necessarily has to pull stumps out the ground (though that would be nice at the right price). As long as it's got pep (read: more then enough power to get out of its own way), proper handling, and doesn't cost a billion dollars, it's worth a run....and should prove to make a little cult following.
  2. It's happened before. Chevy's kept going with an old chassis (B, G) when B-O-P moved on to the newest (H, W)
  3. Love the styling (Mazda3 undertones notwithstanding, even though Pontiac initially inspired them)... But I really hoped for it to be all-American. The Toyota lumps are especially disappointing when one would think Ecotecs could have been shoehorned right in. ETN: The fanboy in me wonders if a GXP with GM's turbo four could work.
  4. What about Granadas and Fairmonts? Esp. Granada....I've yet to see one do anything redeeming with one of those (or Monarch or Versailles)
  5. You'd think Hyundai broke in a Lexus fctory and stole a ton of front clips...But it does look the business....
  6. Yo, Fly.....there's nothing inferior about offering a stick. I'd argue cars only offering or emphasizing conventional automatics are inferior.
  7. Never gonna happen. Not a car company on the planet believes in taking away passenger capability from a performance car that already has it.I doubt the panels will even have sticks.
  8. Pontiac should have gotten the Astra in the first place. And yes, the Vibe should be a Delta. Folks also don't know that the Matrix body is basically a North American thing. Toyota sells the Vibe look in Japan, under the name Voltz (complete with twin-kidney grille)
  9. Finally spotted an '08 VUE that WASN'T white (black)
  10. Can't remember the last time I heard the NAME "Justy" let alone seen one.....
  11. I tend to like them swarthier, but it was a nice pic.
  12. Wow. You live in Toronto and don't get any of this? Never seen Ethiopians in your city?
  13. Mexican, Italian, and Chinese may as well be American...they don't count. Need to try Cuban... Haven't had Ethiopian in a minute..... But dammit, I feel like I can eat Indian food three times a week, two days in a row, and never get sick of it. Got so bad that one month, I decided I had to avoid the Indian spots. I can get with most all Indian cooking, from spinach curry (sag) to tandoori chicken drumsticks (best dark meat there is, second only to tandoori thighs) to gulab jamun. I mean, really, I just did the Indian buffet over the weekend, and I'm looking to see if I feel like paying $11 to go this week. Any of you guys like this?
  14. Let me get to my own and catch up: -'59 Buick done up whiteboy-lowrider style, First time ever seeing one live on the road -STUDEBAKER TRUCK!! -the newest Aston Martin, kinda sexy -'56ish Pontiac -A 50's luxury coupe I couldn't discern whether the make was Lincoln or Studebaker (had the badge "Gran Turismo") -'69 Buick Electra 225 in the slummy part of downtown, FOR SALE!! $1500! (albeit packed with junk...the guy called me back but didn't leave his number) -'72ish CDV, FOR SALE!! $3000! (87.5% more than the '72 SDV for sale back in February, but body looked straighter) -'69 Bel Air wagon (had me wishing someone had a Delta 88 version) -'72ish Ninety Eight dubbed up (like it should be, it's 2007, stock or dubbed up is what should be up) -'82ish Imperial -'69 Imperial sedan -A Chysler coupe for somewhere in the mid-60s, I can't find the pic of. -Ford Galaxie 500 fastback.
  15. Wish it was.
  16. Obviously not for you guys, but for Honda fans....who likely find hot Civics more interesting than even the NSX. But I'd much rather this effort went into a Prelude or Accord.
  17. Yeah, they do....just happen to be the 7-8 feet up in the air kind with the useless third-row seat only good for the thieves.... Yeah, Dodge really isn't my go-to idea of a hatch maker. Though the right one could take off....Hornet, maybe?
  18. Yeah, a couple of religious kooks who apparently don't believe in sex for pleasure. I've seen them on TV before.
  19. Kinda sorta stole my title. In any event, this morning had some gems: -72 Ford LTD 2-door, FOR SALE!! ($5000 though) Could have done without the 70s aftermarket mags, but it's a serviceable package. -Canadian Pontiac Tempest (our Chevy Corsica). Wondered how the driver got it and where he was from -1st gen. Monte Carlo with SS badges (did actual SS Montes exist back then?)
  20. I was about to comment on the fact that it had a look like folks pretty much buy American in that town. But I know that to be a good bit of the midwest (Milwaukee, where my mother's cousins are; whole state of Illinois, etc.).BTW, Reg, funny that it took this incident for me to find out you're from the Twin Cities area.
  21. Really though. The fermentation grass makes gotta power SOMETHING.Same with stale urine.
  22. Can't wait until they come with the trash fuel like in Back To The Future. Or even something powered by toxic waste.
  23. Saw a burgundy Enclave this afternoon. That thing is quite long. I wonder if they're also rusted like Bumblebee was.
  24. Not to throw a tacky car angle....but..... Nah, I won't go there, unless folks here feel it's OK to. On another note though, the NBC Nightly News broadcast here had one of the rougher edits I've ever seen for a western edition. Anyone else wondered, before the rule out, if terrorists would think of Minneapolis?
