  1. I'd be concerned. I mean, who in their right mind is "chipper" at 11:30pm? SOBER??? Exactly.
  2. First of all, where did I mention anything about country of origin? Oh, that's right, I didn't. Because it is not pertinant to the discussion. This thread is titled "What's your beef about Toyota." I have a problem with Toyota for the reasons I mentioned above, and if you want to engage in civil discourse, you would not be cherrypicking my post and responding snidely. Do not, I repeat, do not put words in my mouth like that. You do not know me, do not pick fights with me. There is plenty of evidence on this site from my posts that I am not a blind "buy-American, the Japanese suck" auto enthusiast. I do not like cars that are devoid of character, which is why I dislike Toyotas. I like many Hondas, Nissans, Infinitis, and Mazdas (Ford now). I even liked some Mitsubishis at one point.
  3. Happy belated.
  4. Disagree on the grille; the H grille is way too downmarket IMO.
  5. My biggest beef with Toyota is that I do not like their deceptive/unethical corporate practices. The recall coverups and faux-green marketing really grate. I also don't think their quality is all that special. Their cars are so mediocre and inoffensive in every way, and I like cars with character.
  6. That's hot. I like.
  7. "Ready For The Floor" - Hot Chip "Thelma & Louise" - HorrorPops "Is There A Ghost" - Band of Horses "In The Music" - Kongos "Fairy Tales," "Universal" & "Consequence" - Hypernova "Grace" - Miss Kittin "First Move" - The Vibrants "Music Is My Hot, Hot Sex" - Cansei de Ser Sexy "Funplex" - The B-52's "Alfie" - Lilly Allen "One Pure Thought" - Hot Chip "Time Bomb" - Beck Those are the latest tracks I've had on heavy rotation.
  8. Other than the steering wheel, which looks extremely cheap to me, I kinda like it. Not enough to wish it here, but it looks well-executed for its intended segment.
  9. I don't have a problem with the design of the arena, but the overall site plan isn't very pedestrian-friendly. This is just a very suburban site plan that is very out of place in both of the proposed locations, but less so on the waterfront. There need to be more reasons to go there. The "retail store of the future" sitting so far away from road access will not survive more than a few months due to lack of business. How many people are willing to walk across a sea of concrete all the way around an arena to get to a futuristic retail store? Yea I didn't think so. The proposal lacks density and the land uses are segregated. There needs to be mixed-use development. Frankly, I'm shocked that something like this is being proposed in 2008 as it seems like a throwback to 1968 in terms of urban planning. This is far too auto-centric in design to be sustainable.
  10. Gimme some info on this. When/whom/why? I've never heard of this, and as laughable as it is, I'd like some more info.
  11. Just about every convertible variant has added reinforcement in the side and doors when compared to the non-convertible variants. Again, I don't see how Sigma is somehow incapable of having a convertible, when much less rigid platforms of the past have spawned convertibles.
  12. Guys, PCS thrives on attention. If you don't encourage him by responding, he'll knock it off (eventually).
  13. Agreed. I'm not seeing how that's possible.
  14. Dodgefan, please include a source link to articles you post in the future. Copy/pasting articles without attribution is plagiarism. For this article: Source: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=125393
  15. That was a terrible ad. Seriously...GM just does not get it.
  16. Good call. I'll have to try it again later on better speakers.
  17. They nuked the power-adjustible pedals? WTF?
  18. 17khz for me...haha my hearing is bad for my age group apparently.
  19. Hey, I think Lumina would better fit the Volt. I hate the Volt name...too low-rent, industrial, dirty sounding. Lumina sounds cleaner.
  20. Video not available?
  21. No, the Aztek was much better in pre-production concept form. The production version WAS horrendous, which is why Lutz did a crash refresh of it for its second model year to remove the grey, bulging cladding and replace it with smooth body-colored cladding. Headlights were revised to change the amber to clear (less Tonka-looking), and the rear spoiler was added.
  22. Ummmmm, no. That was in development long before Lutz entered GM. Lutz removed the grey cladding, though, making it less repulsive.
  23. I submitted Phoenix, like I'm sure 62,848,648,385 other people have. I wasn't going to, but when I saw what the typeface looked like, it was the only thing that fit (in my mind).
  24. Dude. Sales data alone disproves his point as minivan buyers only buy minivans for "practical" reasons...but hey, nothing is more fitting in a minivan thread than cupholder and storage placement contests.
  25. I wouldn't have gotten it without your subtitle, but DAMN that's some crazy double entendre going on there!!
