  1. Worst part is the door handles aren't even flush in the 9-5, yet they are in the 9-3.
  2. No, you must not have understood me, or really almost anyone else in this thread for that matter, very well.First of all, I resigned from being a mod. You know that, the other mods know that, and most of the board public knows that, so why lie? It just hurts you, not me. Secondly, it is not Jim's views that are offensive. Heavens, that would be censorship! No, what is offensive is his trolling. I think it is pretty obvious at this point that Jim refuses to participate in a discussion. He refuses to respond to anyone's questions or criticisms. That is the same reason we banned rubenoff two years ago. Do you remember rubenoff? He had a Ford Windstar and complained incessantly about the DRL's and that he did not think they met Canadian government regulations. Instead of answering questions, he would post the same, tired posts time and again, much like what Jim does. Seriously, Josh, I know you aren't stupid; quit trying to fool me. We both know the moderators handle the warnings and that Fly does the bannings, ever since you became "Staff Writer" back in June.
  3. The best GM interior was the SportCombi, without a doubt. While the 9-3 is almost the same, there were some special touches on the SportCombi that really made it stand out, like the way the cargo area houses the spare tire and jack. The setup was very impressive. Turbo, read my post up top on my overall impressions on interiors for the industry.
  4. To which I replied, "Yea...but they could use some wood here...and here...aaaaaand...HERE!"It's a good design, just too monochromatic.* *Razoredge should click here for a definition of the Big Word.
  5. See all those belly-baring, hooded velour tracksuits in various shades of pink, deep red, black and green? You know, the ones that have JUICY plastered over the butt? Yea...that's Juicy Couture. wildmanjoe: I haven't encountered much of a vernacular difference at all. Oh, and Mellow Yellow (as well as) Jack-In-The-Box is national, even in the midwest :AH-HA_wink: Though your post leads me to: 69. In-N-Out is THE place to get a burger. 68. Fatburger is a good #2 69. Your house is built into the side of a mountain. 70. Your house is built off the side of a mountain with thick steel girders and your neighbor is actually below you.

    This is me...

Don't laugh too hard, though, or milk might come out your nose.
  7. The coupe is so much nicer-looking than the sedan. The coupe's lack of the sedan's beltline "dip" at the A-pillar makes the design so much more modern and clean-looking.
  8. OK, so having seen it in person, it is ass-nasty. Profile is identical to the Durango with the same side crease. The design just looks very cobbled-together. Interior is decent, though, but not enough to save this turkey. Overall: D-
  9. No, that is not the next CTS. EDIT: The next CTS is much livelier-looking than that dowdy car. This resembles the current STS more than anything.
  10. vitamin-water-ice cubes?! Shoot...I need to get me some of those...
  11. Well...the current one has Pontic style, though it is caught in a bit of a time warp circa 1995.
  12. If deaths are good for society, could we raise society's collective I.Q. by cleansing it from you? Just a thought :AH-HA_wink:One can take any "survival of the fittest" argument and turn it around. Razor, why don't you show some compassion for someone other than blue-collar UAW workers for a change?
  13. Same.
  14. I already got that one :AH-HA_wink:

    Pictures!

  16. ...decent-looking. In person, all the GM interiors with the exception of the new GMT-900s, SAAB Epsilons, Cadillac XLR and maybe one other vehicle/program all suffer from the same shortcoming: hard, poorly-grained plastic all over the dash. Even the Lucerne has this (yes, O.C. you were indeed right; my apologies). The brands with the best interiors across the board were: Acura, AUDI, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Mercedes-Benz and Mazda (excluding all custom and super-luxury marques). Honorable mentions to specific vehicles/programs NOT included in these brands: Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan/Lincoln Zephyr Ford Five Hundred Mercury Montego Cadillac XLR Subaru B9 Tribeca VW Tourag VW Phaeton The above list is the result of hands-on impressions at LAIAS and the Indianapolis auto shows.
  17. Why? Because I ask you to back up a pretty strong assertion that goes contrary to what our insiders tell us and contrary to what Forbes has published? Sorry, buddy, doesn't work that way. GM won't go under; there are too many safety nets. Firstly, in order for GM to go bankrupt, it has to qualify for bankruptcy. It currently does not, nor is it close to qualifying. GM also has many assets that could be sold off before going under to generate cash. The Federal Government would give GM aid just like they did to Chrysler before allowing GM to go under. Finally, Forbes published a pretty comprehensive article that was also posted on here in the last month or so that debunked bankruptcy talk. I'll try to find it for you. Sorry, I just don't buy into what the talking heads on TV are selling. Here is the Forbes article: click
  18. 55. Your mother wears Juicy Couture.
  19. The power grids should be strengthened to allow for people using their ACs.
  20. Not SSR?
  21. ...and what are you basing that on? GM isn't close to bankruptcy. At all.
  22. IMO, GM interior design has improved drastically, but a lot of the materials leave a bit to be desired. GM has been putting more hard plastic on dashes and less of the squishy foamy material.
  23. derrrr
  24. 50. "June Gloom" means something to you.
  25. Alright...I guess I was just thinking of the 900 and 9000 iterations that were before all that, which your one source said was FIAT (heh...I KNEW they figured in there somewhere!) Thanks for the clarification.
