From the not surprising file, a spy photographer has gotten the first indication of a Canyon Denali. Back in September, we reported that GMC's chief wants a Canyon Denali, but didn't give a possible timeline for when it will come out. Pictures show a prototype Canyon wearing the Denali's chrome mesh grille and chrome bumper behind some camouflage. Now the prototype doesn't feature a chrome rear bumper like other Denali models. But it doesn't mean that the production model will not feature one. No pictures of the prototype's interior, but we expect the usual Denali upgrades. Source: Autoblog View full article

Lets be honest for a moment - commercial vehicles aren't really know for their good looks. If we do get that van (the i800), expect it to be a major redesign.

My guess is they are planning to add more. There are the rumors of a 3-Series RWD sedan from the company still flying around, plus there is talk a new Genesis coupe.

Hyundai is pouring $1.8 billion by 2020 for a new offensive in commercial vehicles. This new offensive will include the U.S. getting some of these new vehicles. According to Reuters, the majority of this investment will go into research and development of vans, trucks, and buses. The remainder will go into raising production of current models. Commercial vehicle sales are expected to rise 30 percent in each of the next five years and Hyundai want a nice slice of it. Currently, sales of Hyundai's commercial vehicles fell in all the markets it sells in at the moment. Hyundai also plans on introducing "premium models in North America and Europe." Another piece in the Ford GT puzzle has been found. Yesterday at the Toronto Auto Show, Ford announced that Multimatic Motorsports - a longstanding partner in Ford's racing programs based in Ontario - will be building the GT. Why Multimatic? Joe Hinrichs, Ford’s president of the Americas said Multimatic has a lot of experience with carbon fiber. This is important considering the GT's passenger cell is made out of carbon fiber. Going with Multimatic has also added anticipation that Ford will be returning to Le Mans to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year. Toyota's big sedan, the Avalon has gotten a mild refresh for the 2016 model year. The updated sedan, which debuted today in Chicago gets a number of small tweaks a new trim level. The tweaks begin outside with LED accents for the head and taillights, along with an enlarged front grille. All trim levels get new wheel choices. Inside, new trim pieces and a revised Entune infotainment system on XLE models and up. Powertrains for the Avalon remain unchanged. That means a 3.5L V6 for the standard Avalon, while the Avalon Hybrid goes with Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive system. What has changed is suspension tuning. Most Avalons will come with a suspension tune that provides a more comfortable ride. The new Touring trim will come a more aggressive suspension tune to provide more sport.
