  1. Have a safe trip, we look forward to seeing the pictures and hearing all about it.
  2. Relatives right to spoil the kids. Leave the rest to the parents to clean up!
  3. I think everyone needs a good ol reliable auto for work, daily use etc. Then for those of us that have a love affair with the car world, we should have our pet projects that drive us crazy
  4. It is still stupid IMHO that they are selling full size trucks for prices that used to be covered by Mini Trucks. There is over lap that does not need to be there especially since not everyone needs a full size. The mini truck market could easily take care of most home owners. I remember Toyota having their 1 ton mini truck and thought GM needs to do this also so people with house projects could still haul and not have to use up so much space. Full size for those that really need the space and businesses that need a truck to last a good long time. Build it Tough, build it Professionl Grade and know that your 30K full size truck can take a pounding and still be solid 5 years from now. Interesting times we are living in.
  5. This is exciting as no one seems to have seen any new Name filing with the pattent office so I must assume the name will be new, but old. One they already have the rights to use but has not been in use for the last 10 years or longer. Wonder if this car could be a new Beretta or GTO? Looking at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_General_Motors I have to assume the name will be something from their history bin. Anyone have a complete list of Auto Names for GM? Forbes has a interesting story on Weirdest, worst and best names in the auto industry. Not sure I totally agree with them. http://www.forbes.com/2004/07/12/cx_dl_0712feat.html
  6. I do agree that Manuals have their place and should be offered across a range of models rather than just the base level eco appliance.
  7. DodgeFan, sounds like the cars in Demolition man. Drive when you want and auto drive when you do not.
  8. Have to disagree with you, the V series should always be luxury Performance, no just Luxury. Otherwise you dilute the Brand. People think of V as performance with a touch of Luxury and that is where it should stay be it having a Turbo 4 or Turbo v6 I am sorry I was not awake whe I typed this. I should have stated the V should be more Luxury and sports. In my mind the V should be the car that is no options and the full load of features performance and luxury. The Turbo can be performance and ala cart luxury. The V6 can be more Luxury and ala cart Performance. I hope this clears up my intentions now that I am awake. LOL! Drink that Energy Drink!
  9. This is a liimited gain as you see it was 2007 when it hit it's peak. This is all those people who are needing to replace their old Manual cars (5 years old) with new ones. I expect this to grow this year but cool off next year.
  10. 2012 Chevy Equinox in black, blacked out windows, Powder coated black rims with v6. Very cherry of a ride.
  11. So many options, so many choices. So many pricing options.
  12. Only record store that I am aware of is in Downtown Seattle.
  13. Classic truck shows on the west coast is all about pickup trucks, I have never seen big iron at them here.

  16. First, driving is NOT a privilege, but it is supposed to be a right. You have the right to travel. It is your lovely government that fooled everyone years ago by trading in your horse for a car with a bunch of limits, then legislated the horse into impracticality. Second, in the end, the government is going to dupe you into using self driving cars by making manual driving such a hassle that its not enjoyable or worthwhile. Writing laws so you always have to yield to the self-drivers. Programming traffic lights to turn green for self-drivers, etc. It once was a government run by the people, now its a government that controls the people, generally by slow deception. For example, the laws in the failed SOPA are going to get passed. If not as SOPA, than as PIPA or CISPA (which is currently succeeding) or they will be installed piece by piece as riders on budgets and other boring, everyday legislation. WRONG, Driving is a Privilage you EARN, No where in our laws does it say driving is a Right. This is just like Cell phones or the internet. Tax payers being taxed heavily have ended up subsidising the Internet for everyone at the schools and Libraries and then we end up with people saying it is a right, same with cell phones. People seem to think this is a right for everyone to have. Nothing here is a right, but a privilage you earn by working hard to afford the ability to drive. Sorry, but I have the Right to make more money than you and earn the privilage to drive nice expensive cars.
  17. I have a couple 33 1/3 records left that I held onto due to it being my favorite band. I need to pull them out and look at them since It has been a long time. Wonder what shape they are in.
  18. Total EXCITEMENT!!! I love this concept car, reminds me of growing up watching Speed Racer in the Mach 5.
  19. Amazing that some people consider big iron like this to be collectible. Interesting foot note for the auto history books.
  20. Low miles, truly a collectors and it reminds me of the ultimate in covette movies. "Corvette Summer" I love this body style so this is for sure a CHEERS!!!
  21. Pretty cool the things I learn here about the car industry.
  22. Saw a very cherry 88 suburban at the park and ride. I think the person must have just finished restoring it as the interior was spotless and the paintjob was perfect along with the underside being so clean you could eat off it. Had I think an 8 inch lift. was very nice. Also saw and talked with a guy who has a 93 GMC 2500 suburban. His was redone for total off roading and ease of cleaning out. The whole body inside and out was covered in LineX. He says he never has to worry about scratches or moldy carpet. He has rubber floor mats on top of the LineX sprayed on the inside. Even the door panels are covered in the stuff. Pretty amazing black Suburban with limo tinted windows. Two very nice and yet totally different rides.
